Christopher Amott - New Solo Album Title And Cover Artwork Unveiled
Guitar virtuoso <b>Christopher Amott</b> might have left Arch Enemy but he didn't stop making music. He has announced that his new solo album will be titled Impulses. The cover art has been revealed and can be viewed below even though a release date has not yet been set. This new album will be the follow-up to his debut solo studio album Follow Your Heart, which came out in 2010. More details should be released soon.

Children Of Bodom - Oslo And Malmö Shows Cancelled, Pull Out Of Ruisrock As Well
UPDATE: After cancelling their shows in Oslo and Malmö, Children Of Bodom were now forced to cancel their appearance at the Ruisrock Festival in Finland as well. Amorphis will replace them.
The band released the following statement: "This is not an easy letter for us to write. Alexi is suffering from a serious infection. He is still in hospital in Oslo under supervision of the doctors and we don't know yet when they will release him."

Progressive/experimental rock artist Steven Wilson has released a video of the live performance of "Harmony Korine" as a preview for his upcoming DVD/Blu-Ray titled Get All You Deserve, which is set to be released on September 25th via Kscope. The two-hour long performance was recorded live in Mexico City on April 13th, 2012, at the Teatro Metropolitan. The special edition DVD/Blu-Ray/2 CD version is now available for pre-order here. Swedish power metallers Crystal Eyes have welcomed the return of Niclas Karlsson to the band. They revealed the following update, regarding the recent guitarist changes: "Paul is out of the band and we're ready for another chapter. We're now extremely happy to welcome back Niclas Karlsson and are looking forward to once again share the path of Heavy Metal with this great guitarist. If you know your Crystal Eyes's history you know that Niclas started the band with Mikael in 1992, quit the band after short break in 1995, got back between 2006-2007 and has played with Mikael in the Judas Priest tribute band Defenders Of The Faith since the dawn of time."
