Magnum - New Album Details Revealed
The new album from UK progressive rockers Magnum is almost finished, it will be titled On The 13th Day and it has been penned in for a September 21st release in Germany, September 24th in the rest of Europe and September 25th in the US/Canada via SPV/Steamhammer Records. A single named "So Let It Rain" is scheduled for an end of August release. In the meantime, the band released an album teaser where vocalist Bob Catley describes the new album.

George Marino - Legendary Mastering Engineer Dies After Cancer Battle
George Marino, the legendary mastering engineer, has passed away yesterday after losing his battle with lung cancer. You might not recognize his name, but he worked on legendary albums which include Metallica's Black Album and Guns N' Roses' Appetite For Destruction. Marino also worked on albums for Saxon, W.A.S.P., Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Anthrax, Danzig, Death Angel and many more in the metal realm and recently won a Grammy for his work on Arcade Fire's album Suburbs.

King Of Asgard - Unveil New Album Cover And Tracklist, First Single Streaming
After revealing the first details about their new album ...to North, Swedish viking folk metallers King Of Asgard have now unveiled the new release cover art and tracklist. The artwork is an oil on panel created by artist Mattias Frisk. "The Nine Worlds Burn", the first single off the follow-up to 2010's debut Fi'mbulvintr, is also available for streaming below. The album will come out on July 31st via Metal Blade.

Månegarm - Violinist Janne Liljekvist Leaves The Band
Violinist Janne Liljekvist has left Swedish viking metallers Månegarm on permanent basis due to lack of motivation. The band commented on his departure via their Facebook page: "It's of course unfortunate after almost 15 years together, but it's also an unsustainable situation if 1 out of 5 can't find the motivation and put the effort into the band that is needed to move forward."

Guns N' Roses - Slash T-Shirts Banned From London Show
It seems that apparently not only is Slash not welcome at any Guns N' Roses shows, but neither are Slash T-shirts.
According to British music magazine NME, a fan at GNR's May 31 concert at London's O2 Arena, who showed up a wearing a Slash T-shirt, was forced by security to remove his shirt at the door. The concertgoer, 18-year-old James Revell, grudgingly abided and entered the venue bare-chested.
