Abigail Williams will begin recording their third full-length album today. The process begins in the band's new home of Southern California as the band enter Keene Machine Studios with The Faceless' Michael Keene and Abigail Williams' mainman Ken Sorceron engineering. Former Abigail Williams and The Black Dahlia Murder drummer Zach Gibson will be playing on the album, as previous band mate Ken Bedene focuses on Aborted.

Dutch symphonic metallers Delain are currently in Stockholm recording their upcoming yet-untitled album. The band has teamed up with Jacob Hellner (Rammstein, Clawfinger, Apocalyptica), who will be producing the album.

In a short update the band had this to say: "After a long tour and changes, it's great to finally move on to writing and recording an album. Even more so in such legendary studios with people involved in such legendary albums! We have great songs written and these are the perfect conditions to make them come to life."

Norwegian symphonic black metal act Dimmu Borgir has been confirmed for Germany's Wacken Open Air 2012. Similarly to their show at Spektrum in Oslo, Norway earlier this year they will be supported by an orchestra and choir. According to the Wacken website this will be the band's only European festival performance of this kind.
