Black Sabbath - No Reunion After All
After all the speculation of Black Sabbath reforming, Tony Iommi has posted a new statement on his official website calling the apparent reunion "absolute nonsense". Here is his statement:
I'm saddened that a Birmingham journalist whom I trusted has chosen this point in time to take a conversation we had back in June and make it sound like we spoke yesterday about a Black Sabbath reunion.
At the time I was supporting the Home of Metal exhibition and was merely speculating, shooting the breeze, on something all of us get asked constantly, "Are you getting back together?"
Thanks to the internet it's gone round the world as some sort of "official" statement on my part, absolute nonsense. I hope he's enjoyed his moment of glory, he won't have another at my expense.
to my old pals, Ozzy, Geezer and Bill, sorry about this, I should have known better.
All the best, Tony

In news that could potentially piss off any fan of Black Sabbath if it weren't true, the original Black Sabbath line-up (Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward) has reformed.
Despite what Geezer Butler originally said, it has been confirmed that the four musicians have been secretly working on rehearsing for a tour and writing a brand new album. As stated by Iommi in an interview with BPM Media (Sunday Mercury, Birmingham Mail): "We're really looking forward to it and I think the stuff we've been writing is really good, it's more back to the old original stuff."
He also explained in the interview how Ozzy was the worst at keeping this project under wraps. "It's all been very hush-hush. Ozzy's been the worst at trying to hold it back. He's doing a lot of TV and he's being asked stuff about a reunion and he's going 'well I never say never'. He told me, 'I don't know what to say'." Iommi was also concerned with the performance of drummer Bill Ward, due to his health conditions and a heart attack that he suffered: "He hasn't been 100 per cent. He had an operation a few months ago, so we'll see how he is."

Bullet - Sign With Nuclear Blast Records
Nuclear Blast Records press release
A new chapter will be added to the success story of Swedish up-and-comers Bullet, whose boundless love to 80s Heavy Metal led to the band's founding a decade ago. The passionate metal quartet around vocalist Hell Hofer and guitarist Hampus Klang will be part of the big Nuclear Blast family from now on! With three successful albums - of which two could even get rank 3 in Swedish charts - and numerous tours, for example together with their fellow countrymen of HammerFall and Sabaton in 2009, the gunslingers were able to achieve a wide and solid fanbase. And as for the future, Bullet still got quite a few hot bullets in the bull barrel!

Rhapsody Of Fire - Members Go Separate Ways
Posted today on the Rhapsody website:
After 15 years of friendship, hard work and big passion, fully invested in the creation of symphonic music and an epic saga that will remain in the history of heavy metal, Alex Staropoli and Luca Turilli decided to proceed to a friendly split. "10 albums released and the end of the saga represent, musically and lyrically, an important artistic goal finally reached, underlined by the success of our last release From Chaos To Eternity, for which we want to thank our wonderful fans once again. Now it came the time when new artistic stimulations need to be found, in respect of both parts' visions and perspectives and of our longtime friendship" say Luca and Alex. Due to the latest legal agreements actually in force, Alex Staropoli will go on with Rhapsody Of Fire having, between the others, Fabio Lione as singer, Tom Hess as guitar player and Alex Holzwarth as drummer. For the same agreements and the original name's common ownership, Luca Turilli will release his future works with a new Rhapsody band, including the faithful band members Dominique Leurquin, Patrice Guers and Alex Holzwarth.
Alex says: "While wishing the best to Luca and his new band, I want to tell you that Fabio and myself feel motivated and stronger than ever and that Rhapsody Of Fire are already planning a great worldwide tour. More information regarding the new bass player and the new second guitar player will follow. Stay tuned!"
The website http://www.rhapsodyoffire.com will remain the glorious Rhapsody Of Fire website at all effects and http://www.algalordchronicles.com the official fan club of Rhapsody Of Fire only. In the future, if you want to know more about the new band of Luca Turilli, please check his personal website at http://www.lucaturilli.com
