We have recorded 10 songs, which in our opinion are the strongest Burden Of Grief songs so far. And in addition to these songs we have recorded 8(!) coversongs for a limited-edition 2-CD version. And to put a crown on top of this, we had the honour to have some highly reputated guest-musicians singing together with Mike.

Follow The Flames cover art] tracklist:

01. Ignition (Intro)
02. Follow The Flames
03. Born In Fire
04. The Arms Of Death
05. Disruption Of A Confused Mind

03. Break On Through Edge Of Sanity)]
04. Mouth For War
05. Fool For Your Loving
06. Refuse/ Resist Holy Moses)]
07. Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be
08. Valhalla Tankard)]

The mix and mastering of that album was done by Swedish metal-icon Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, Opeth, Dissection, Bloodbath). The cover artwork was done by Gustavo Saves (Arch Enemy, Sonic Syndicate, God Forbid).

And we are very happy to announce that we have inked a new deal with our old record-label Massacre Records again. The album will be released this summer and we are looking forward to a successful cooperation."

Necrophagia - New Album In The Works

After many, many delays US death metallers Necrophagia have finally finnished song writing for Deathtrip 69. Here's the latest update straight from the band:

"The new material sounds like it should have chronologically followed Season of the Dead. Consisting of very dark and heavy riffs interwoven with audio horror and inhuman vocals. Killjoy is full of praises for the new line up and says that although it's been a very long time since the band has been active it's the beginning of a rollercoater ride into horror hell. Inspiration is at an all time peak and having known guitarist Boris Randall for over 20's years makes things alot easier when it comes song writing "because we are always thinking in the same direction musically". Another element brought back to Necrophagia is lead guitar passages courtesy of Randall.

Songs definately set to appear are as follows: "Beast with Feral Claws", "Suffering Comes in Sixes","Naturan Demonto","Reborn through Black Mass","A Funeral for Solange" and "Tomb with a View".

Necrophagia will mark their return on June 26th 2010 headling the Firewalk Metal Meltdown Festival in Milwaukee. Next up Deathtrip 69 this autumn along with a US/Canadian tour with THE MOST legendary black metal band from Norway (bands and dates will be announced very shortly).

A demo version of "Beast with Feral Claws" will be world premiered on the Necrophagia MySpace Page Saturday April 24th 2010."

While Heaven Wept - Live Dates Cancelled

Original While Heaven Wept guitarist Tom Phillips has issued the following band statement:

"It is with deep regret that we announce the cancellation of our appearances at Metal Camp 2010 as well as the Born To Be Doomed festival in Baltimore this year. Cancelling any show is very difficult for us emotionally and spiritually... those of you who have been with us for a while know that we've even brought in stand-in musicians to make things happen in the past, but unfortunately, sometimes things simply don't work out no matter what we do.

Regarding Metal Camp, extenuating circumstances that neither the Metal Camp organization nor WHW ourselves could resolve... despite exhausting every last possibility... have resulted in WHW being cancelled from the billing for this year. Part of this can be attributed to conflicting schedules, along with truly outrageous expenses, and a few other personal matters that we'll make public when appropriate (don't worry, they're not malign). The bottom line is we hope that we'll be able to reschedule for Metal Camp 2011 (or after), and will let you know if and when this is sorted out.

As far as the Born To Be Doomed festival the week prior, just this morning I received a phone call regarding a major conflict for one of the WHW members with their job that has come up affecting the first week of July. This of course was gutting news as we were looking forward to this event as much as Metal Camp, but the reality is we don't make a living doing WHW, and when the "powers that be" demand one of us elsewhere... in terms of career or family, sometimes there's no negotiating a way around it. We felt it was very important to get this information out ASAP so that John and Josh of the DOBD team have plenty of time to find another band to fill our slot.

Again, we extend our deepest apologies to our friends and fans for these disheartening cancellations, and will do our best to reschedule dates at another time.

Fortunately, there is some good news that I can tell you about, that will perhaps assuage these sad announcements... behind the scenes, we've been working hard on an EU tour plan for later in 2010, and hopefully we'll be able to make a very exciting announcement regarding this soon.

The "Vessel" 7" will be in production shortly, and we'll next move on to the "Lovesongs Of The Forsaken" 12" release as previously discussed. We have also already started to demo the material for the "Fear Of Infinity" album and hope to have a complete representation in hand within the next 6 weeks."

Evergrey - Still Working On New Album

Original news, posted on 30.03.2010

Evergrey is currently busy on a new album, to be released at the end of this year. The band issued the following update:

"Been a long time since the last update but we are currently extremely deep into the songwriting and recording of the new album which should be released during the fall 2010. Do we need to tell you that it sounds good, great, fantastic... like always, right.

At the same time we are working with a lot of new people to ensure the best possibilities for a successful work for the new album. There will be more news about this soon. But there are some MAJOR changes in the world of Evergrey, and we are confident it will all be for the better.

At the moment we are booking a short tour for Europe in May. Tour of South America in June and some dates for the USA in connection with that. Festivals on top of that and so far we have a couple we can't go official with until we get the word, so be sure to visit us to stay on top of where you can catch us soon."

Abattoir]

UPDATE (thanks to Abattoir)

Evergrey have issued the following update:

"As promised there will be a whole lot of news coming your way in the coming weeks and days.

We have and still are undergoing some BIG changes in Evergrey at the moment. This involves everything you can possibly imagine, and can't imagine. BUT we are also very determined and focused on making the best album we have ever accomplished! We have NEVER spent so much time on detail as we are doing on this album. Everything from sounds to song-structures is under the magnifying glass and nothing will be left to chance.

Purely business related we are also undergoing changes, both big and small and the only thing we can and are allowed to say right now is that being us is very exciting for the moment. Of course you will all be informed about this as soon as we know for certain that the plans are going to take place.

BUT we DO have some new tour dates as well as quite a few to still be added on other continents than Europe so for our fans outside of Europe don't give up hope we will try to please everyone as soon as possible, probably sooner than you think. And for our Euro fans, be sure you get tickets for these shows as they will be something none of you have seen from Evergrey before. Hmmmm what else might there be to tell...?

Yeah, back to the album! 11 songs are written and we will keep on writing and recording as long as time allows us. We are very pleased with the result and the direction we are heading right now. Maybe there is bit more weight put on melody and the orchestration of some songs. As said before, the sounds have become VERY important for us, every song has its own unique trademark as far as the sounds go. There are short songs (meaning 3 - 3:30 minutes). There are long songs (meaning up to 6:40) for the moment. There are slow, heavy, fast and atmospheric songs and of course most important of all - it sounds more Evergrey than ever!"

Mar De Grises - The Chilean Doom Band Signs With Season Of Mist

Season of Mist just signed the first South American band of the label's history!

"We are happy to welcome Chile's MAR DE GRISES to the roster. The band's third full-length album should be released later this year".

"We are very happy about this deal with Season of Mist", the band comments. "For a young band like Mar de Grises, it is really exciting to be part of an impressive roster with big names such as Morbid Angel, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mayhem and Cynic, among many others.

We are also proud to be the first Ibero-American band working with this company. It is an important motivation to continue composing this kind of music on the other side of the world, in Chile. This partnership with Season of Mist represents a big step for us. It is exactly what we were looking for, as it enables us to share our music with more metalheads than ever before! We are nearly done composing the new album and are about to start the recording process. We couldn't wish for a better incentive than to know we will have the best support for our upcoming campaigns. We can't wait to come back to Europe!"

Obituary - Working On New Album

Obituary vocalist John Tardy has issued the following update:

"We are enjoying some time off and it has given us a chance to finally work on some new music. Trevor Peres (guitar) was in town and we got some new Obituary songs down. Heavy as balls! Drummer Donald Tardy and I also have been working on some new TB Bloodline material... just having a blast jamming!

I am still working on this studio. It is coming along slowly, but starting to see the light at the end of tunnel. I need some carpet! Can't find anything I like! I will also try to get that webcam back up soon.

We are getting closer and closer to the start of our US Tour. It starts off in Orlando and the Club Firestone. This place is awesome and we have not played in Orlando in a long, long time so we are hoping for a killer show!"

Disturbed - New Album Title Revealed

Disturbed have just announced the title of their upcoming album Asylum. As with Indestructible, Disturbed are self-producing Asylum, which they began writing in September 2009 and recording in February of this year. David Draiman describes it as "still identifiably Disturbed, but showing more maturation. We feel this is one of the strongest bodies of work we've ever put together. It definitely goes in familiar areas, but with new levels of precision and skill."

Lyrically, Draiman says, the themes "range from very personal and introspective to the political and provocative. What would you expect? No songs about puppy dogs or rainbows here."

"We want this record to be a shining example of how the years have made us stronger," Draiman says. "We want it to be a record that helps people get through their own trials and tribulations, as always."

Equilibrium - Another New Song Online

Equilibrium have uploaded another new song "Der Ewige Sieg" from the upcoming album Rekreatur witch will be realased on June 18 via Nuclear Blast. Check it out here.

The band will also shoot a video for this song, commented mainman René Berthiaume: "Der ewige Sieg" is about the renewal of nature and mankind at the turn of the year which also is connected to the album title. The video clip for that song will be directed by Florian Puchert. He's an old friend of the band since I composed the music for some of his movies. Now we're turning tables and he does the flick for our music. Other than our last video we won't have that many digital effects in it rather than going for a more organic and realistic look. He and his team have tons of good ideas and we are looking forward to work with him!"

Arch Enemy - UK Tour Postponed

Arch Enemy has released the following statement about the postponement:

"Sorry to all our great UK fans, but the tour we had scheduled for next week has unfortunately been postponed 'til November 2010.

As we all know, it's been a tough time in Europe with the volcanic ash shutting down airspace in 23 countries and causing travel misery for millions of people. One minute airports are open - the next they are not. We are determined to make these shows work but don't want to disappoint our fans, so it has been mutually agreed upon that the best way forward is to postpone the UK dates 'til November."

We'd like to thank all of the promoters who took on the shows, and also the support bands ? everything was shaping up very nicely and their professionalism is obvious. We appreciate their willingness to make these shows happen later in 2010 and we're more eager than ever to do so.

It's important to make it clear that this is not a cancellation ? we just have to move the tour to a different time.

Sorry again to all who planned to attend. Hope to see you in November!"

The new and only UK Arch Enemy dates for 2010 are:

November 23 - Manchester @ Academy 2

November 24 - Glasgow @ Garage

November 25 - Wolverhampton @ Wulfrun Hall

November 27 - London @ The Forum

(w/ Sabbat)

All tickets will remain valid for the new dates.
