Eternal Tears Of Sorrow - Replace Drummer

Eternal Tears Of Sorrow has issued the following update:

"Petri Sankala has left the band. The reason for this mutual decision is Petri's back pain that hasn't allowed him to play drums 100% during the past two years. None of us has bad feelings whatsoever and we wish Petri all the best!

We'd like to introduce the replacement, Mr. Juho Raappana. In the past, Juho has played in many local bands such as Impish, Catamenia and Mythos. Having Gene Hoglan and Sean Reinert as his biggest influences, we think Juho is the best possible man to take the job. After all, fifteen years ago when we started, Death and Cynic influenced us.

P.S. Our forthcoming single was mixed last weekend. It will contain one new song and a brand new version of an old song. The single will be out in February and the album in April."

Isole - Upcoming Album Details And Samples

Napalm Records press release

Isole's fourth release, "Silent Ruins", continues to forge forth in the tradition of the previous albums. The Swedes once again indulge in their heart-sickened and somber brand of Doom Metal that only finds solace in a perfectly placed portion of deadly black epic. Profound compositions, hypnotic arrangements, and heavy flowing riffs, that not unlike molten lava slowly yet inexorably pull the listener down into its depths, are the core elements comprising this album. Gustavo Sazes (Firewind, Serenity) once again lends his artistic know-how to graphically convey a feeling of utter despair and isolation, while Peter In de Betou (Amon Amarth, Draconian, Arch Enemy) takes on the darkly work's mastering responsibilites. Rarely before have hopelessness and despair found such an elegant and becoming sound, making "Silent Ruins" a dark jewel that will not only appeal to the die-hard Doom Metal fan.

"Silent Ruins" cover art] tracklist:

01. From The Dark mp3-sample]
02. Forlorn
03. Nightfall
04. Hollow Shrine mp3-sample]
05. Soulscarred
06. Peccatum
07. Dark Clouds

Release date set for "Silent Ruins"

25.02.09 - Finland
27.02.09 - Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, France, Italy, Sweden

Primal Fear - Details Of New Album Released

German metallers Primal Fear will release their new album "16.6 (Before The Devil Knows You're Dead!)", in May 2009 via Frontiers Records. After weeks of pre-production and preparation, the band entered the House Of Music studio on November 28 to begin recording.

The following track list was revealed for the album:

01. Six Times Dead (16.6)
02. Smith & Wesson
03. Soar
04. Riding The Eagle
05. Black Rain
06. Lightning
07. Time
08. Night After Night
09. Killbound
10. Don't Fuck With My Life
11. No Smoke Without Fire
12. The Exorcist
13. Torn
14. Scream

Frontman Ralf Scheepers made the following comment: "It's very unusual for one band member to see and listen how the other band member is delivering the goods on his instrument. When we perform together live, you can also judge what's going on each instrument but not as clear and obvious as in the studio where you can concentrate on each tone or note or beat from your mates. From what I have heard so far, I can really say it's the best performance I have ever heard from Randy on the drums and also from Henny on the guitar. Of course, some people might think, 'What else should he say, he has to promote the new album and that's what every musician would say just to keep the ball running.' But these words are my true impression and I really can't wait for Magnus and Mat to nail their parts to see the whole building growing and growing."

Revolution Renaissance - South American Tour Postponed

Finnish metal band Revolution Renaissance has issued the following update:

''We are forced to postpone our tour due to lack of professionalism and responsibility of the promoter Incartaz. They approached us with an offer for the tour in June, which we were very happy about. When the time came to start fulfilling the contractual obligations, it became evident that this promoter was incompetent and could not be trusted.''

''We are very sorry about this and we tried to book the tour with the new promoter Eric De Haas of Dynamo Productions, but due to his obligations with Nightwish's South American tour, he did not have enough time to finalize the touring arrangements. We have full confidence in Eric De Haas, who was responsible for the first three South American tours for Stratovarius. The tour is currently being booked in correspondence with the new album release.''
