God Forbid - New Year Message & Title Of New CD

Happy New Year everyone,
First of all, we want to apologize to all the God Forbid fans who were looking forward to seeing us in Pittsburgh as part of the Stillborn Fest. Our transportation broke down and we couldn't make it. We promise to do a make up show in March-April.
2004 has been the best year we have had as a band with a trek on Ozzfest as well as first time tours in mainland Europe and Japan. We'd like to thank Century Media worldwide, Tim and Face the Music Touring, Paul Ryan at the Agency Group, everyone at the Syndicate, and all of the bands we've played with this year. Most of all we have to thank all of the fans who have shown such amazing support. With out the people who attend the concerts, buy the records, and appreciate the music, we wouldn't be doing this.
We'll start work on "IV:Constitution of Treason" at the start of the new year, and I have to say that we are extremely excited. We have never been this comfortable or had this much material already writtten going into writing sessions, so it should be a quick and painless process. There are plans for a headline US and UK tour coming up. We'll see everyone on tour in early 2005! Peace.
Doc

Hate Eternal - New Album On The Way

Hate Eternal guitarist Erik Rutan as been speaking abut the final stages of the recording process of the band's new album, to be called 'I, Monarch', due for release in April 2005.

The band have released one special advance version of the title track for use on an upcoming Earache CD given away free with the January 19 issue of the UK's Metal Hammer magazine, and Rutan is thrilled to be nearing the time when the band can unleash the rest of the record.

Comments the guitarist/vocalist;
"Just wanted to let all the fans know our third Hate Eternal record 'I, Monarch' is being mixed as we speak and shall be finished on January 4th, 2005 for a spring 2005 release. I just want to say that never have I been so prepared for an album and never have I spent so much time crafting an album. Therefore I feel like we really captured something special. It sounds amazing. At my studio I bought the analog 2 inch machine from Morrisound that we recorded the whole album to which was very special. Jim Morris sold it to me. In the past I recorded both 'Domination' and part of the 'Gateways...' album with it, and it's been used on great albums by numerous other bands like Deicide, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse and Death so it is a very classic machine and I am very honored to have it be a part of my studio now."
"The tones on this album are amazing, such depth and clarity yet so pummeling. The material is very diverse I feel without compromising what Hate Eternal represents, which is an extreme Metal outfit. I got some killer solos on here and the drumming on the record is groundbreaking I feel, so I am very psyched to get this thing out and tour our asses off next year. I
think everyone will be very pleased. We look forward to getting back on the road and supporting 'I, Monarch' with a few surprises for sure . Hope all is Well for all our fans out there and be prepared!"

Symphony X - Update

As Russ' solo cd was taking quite a bit longer than anticipated, & Mike Romeo was anxious to get going full force on the new Symphony X cd, they both agreed that Russ would take his solo effort to another studio to complete the mixing. Russ is looking for a certain sound & said that Mike "made the music sound too good"; Russ should be finishing up the final mix in the following week or so. In the meantime, MJR has begun working in earnest on the new Symphony X cd with help from the other band members; we'll have more information here as it becomes available.

Satyricon Guitarists Charged Of Rape

SATYRICON guitarists Steinar Gundersen and A.O. Gronbech were arrested and charged in Canada for drugging and raping a woman in the band's tour bus after a concert in Toronto.

"I can confirm that the Norwegian consul in Toronto has been in contact with the arrestees, and followed up by, among other things, visiting them in jail and obtaining legal assistance," said Anne Lene Dale Sandstein, press officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to Norwegian TV 2 Nettavisen.

According to Canadian police, the crimes were committed after SATYRICON had performed at the club Fun Haus in Toronto last Tuesday (Dec. 14), reported the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet.

"A woman from Toronto explained that she went with the two Norwegian musicians to their tour bus," said Kristin Bacharach at the Toronto police to the paper. There she was reportedly drugged and sexually assaulted.

Bacharach confirmed that the two musicians have been arrested and are charged. DNA tests have been taken. If found guilty, the two musicians may be sentenced to ten years in prison.

As a result of the musicians' arrests, the remaining dates on SATYRICON's North American tour with 3 INCHES OF BLOOD (including a New York show) were cancelled."

Labyrinth - Sing With Arise, More Updates

It's official: Labyrinth have signed for Arise Records!

Do you remember last time we said: 'They're goin' really MAD' ?

So, waiting the new album, Labs & S:O:T Staff want to wish you all a Merry Xmas and a REALLY Happy New Year !!!
Keep you in the Maze...

GREAT NEWS DIRECTLY FROM LABYRINTH 'S MANAGER !!!

The name of the new Labyrinth's album will be 'Freeman' and it is finally ready, after the recording & mixing sessions at the Elnor Studio (Milan) and the mastering sessions in The House Of Audio Studios in Germany. This one is a big step in the new frontier of Labyrinth's sound: you shall judge it in March 2005, when 'Freeman' will be out!!!
It's very difficult to say in which direction the 2005 Lab's sound is gone, if we consider that in the 10 tracks of 'Freeman' we can find the most various things: from the band's most aggressive song ever 'Dive In Open Waters', to the mid tempos with killer riffs and harmonics melodies & seventies - or speedy - periods, to disquieting 'Malcom Gray', a song that will give a thrill to more than a people!
By the way - 'bout thrill - the album cover will be, this time, a picture realized by the famous Emmanuel Mathez, the same who realized the videoclip for the song 'L.Y.A.F.H'.
It's not enough: the Italian edition (initial limited pressing) will be an extra value as a live DVD recorded in Tokyo during the Banzai Tour (May 2004)!
You can understand this time the guys are goin' really MAD !!!
Really soon more pics, news and... some music!!! ^____-

Trans-Siberian Orchestra- Daryl Pediford Pass Away

It is with deep sorrow that we have to announce the passing of our bandmate Daryl Pediford. He was a magical talent and for those of you who had the opportunity to see him light up the stage, you know how much he will be missed.
It was a blessing to be able to spend time with such a spirited soul. We treasure the time we had with him both personally and professionally.

Daryl Pediford was more than a fellow band member, more than a friend.

He was our brother
