Protest The Hero - To Release 'Pacific Myth' In November

Good news for Protest The Hero fans! The Canadians will release Pacific Myth via Razor & Tie on November 18th. The songs were previously recorded and released solely for members of the band's Pacific Myth subscription platform. Intended as a way to create and distribute new music for core fans, Pacific Myth resulted in six new tracks, each with correlating artwork, that are now being packaged together physically for the first time. The individually released tracks have been fully remixed and remastered to create the cohesive sound of Pacific Myth which runs a little over 35 minutes.

Omnium Gatherum - Introduce New Drummer

Omnium Gatherum have a new drummer. Jarmo Pikka is out after many years and Tuomo Latvala is joining the band as a full-time drummer after one year of solid prospect member service. Tuomo is a drumming instructor at his private drum school in Turku (Southwest Finland), and currently plays also in Torture Killer. He has previously played in such bands as Demigod and Hateform. The Finns collectively thank and salute Jarmo Pikka for 18 years of service and brotherhood.

The Finns Amorphis are joining forces with fellow countrymen Swallow The Sun for a trek in North America next year. The masters of melancholic progressive metal Amorphis will return to North America next March/April for a long overdue headlining tour. Quiet Riot - In The Studio, Announce New Vocalist

Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth - Working On New Album, Add New Member

Seattle-based doom-bringers Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth have welcomed the addition of multi-instrumentalist Andrew McInnis to the fold "to add atmospheric glaciers of resonance and texture." McInnis will appear with the band on their headlining show this October 29th, 2016 at Seattle's own premier underground venue, Substation. The band will spend the remaining months of 2016 and early 2017 preparing the next release. In the writing of their next album, the band will be "taking new paths and push themselves beyond what they know of their instruments and voices."

Roadburn 2017 - First Bands, Warning Performing 'Watching From A Distance'

Get ready, Roadburn enthusiasts because next year's edition is already shaping up nicely! The first announcement was made today and Coven will perform their first ever European show (and the band's first show at all in decades); John Dyer Baizley will be their 2017 curator and Baroness will perform on the main stage as part of his curation; Warning will perform Watching From A Distance in full; GNOD will celebrate their tenth anniversary as their artist in residence. Plus, Zeal And Ardor, Pillorian, Perturbator, Schammasch, Les Discrets and last but not least Oranssi Pazuzu will be performing on the Main Stage (good news for those who missed out this year).
