Lucifer's Fall - Hiatus Lifted

Back in April, doomsters Lucifer's Fall announced the decision to go on indefinite hiatus via a Facebook post by vocalist Deceiver. However, the band seems to have changed their minds after their recent live show in Melbourne and the fans' support, and it looks like they will continue, albeit in a limited capacity.

Rotting Christ - Sakis Tolis Launches Solo Project, Reveals New Song

Rotting Christ's mainman Sakis Tolis has announced the release of his first ever solo album, entitled Among The Fires Of Hell. A date for release has not been revealed yet but it will come out independently through the artist's own label and will be shared free of charge via all music platforms. The title track, featuring guest appearances from Fotis Bernardo on drums and Andrew Liles on narration, is streaming below.

Daylight Misery - Release Single, Money From Sales To Be Donated To Children With Cancer

Greece's gothic doomsters Daylight Misery have released a standalone single in memory of Dimitris Theodoropoulos, founder and guitar player of the band Rex Mundi, who died on May 31st, 2021. The sales from this release will go to "Floga Parents' Association Of Children With Cancer". The song "Cancerworm" features vocals from Aaron Stainthorpe (My Dying Bride) and Sakis Tolis (Rotting Christ), a guest solo by Gus G., and keyboards by Kostas Panagiotou (Pantheïst).

Andréa Meyer - Dies At 52, Among The Victims Of Bow And Arrow Attack In Norway

Andréa Meyer, the German recording artist, writer, actress and model, is unfortunately one of the casualties of the recent spree killing in Kongsberg, Norway. Perhaps best known for her pagan / shamanic writing and work in musical projects Aghast, Nebelhexë, and Hagalaz' Runedance, she was also an early member of Cradle Of Filth, performing at their live shows and guesting on their debut album. She also contributed to the likes of Satyricon and Necromantia. May she rest in peace.

The Skull - Eric Wagner Dead At 62

One of the most iconic figures in doom metal, vocalist Eric Wagner, has died at the age of 62. It was reported late last week that Wagner, who contracted Covid-19 while on a co-headlining tour with The Skull and fellow landmark outfit The Obsessed, had entered the hospital with pneumonia and that remaining live dates including a slated appearance at Psycho Las Vegas were cancelled. His son, Luke, has confirmed his death on social media.
