Last week, Finnish melodic metallers Insomnium hinted that they were hitting the studio, possibly to start the recording for a new album. Insomnium can now reveal that they are on their last day of recording drums in SF Sound studio. So far, they haven't given the fans any specific details about what they are recording exactly, but it seems like we have to brace ourselves for some cold, shivering tunes.

The album will be called Afterglow, and is due to be released on May 20th through Agonia Records. The artwork, which has an epic doom feeling to it, has been designed by Kristian "Necrolord" Wåhlin, who has previously worked with bands such as Bathory, Tiamat, Amorphis and Dark Tranquillity.
