The Project Hate MCMXCIX - Working On New Album

Swedish industrial death metal band The Project Hate MCMXCIX are back in the studio, working on the follow-up to 2010's Bleeding The New Apocalypse (Cum Victriciis In Manibus Armis).

Frontman Lord K. Philipson comments: "Yes, after a few weeks of work the first tune for the next album is completed (meaning I will add tons and tons of small stuff as we go along, but the "real" work is done). I am not going to give away any details but there sure is some stuff in this one that you don't really expect when it comes to TPH, and that says quite a bit.

At the moment the inspiration is flowing endlessly and I have so much stuff to work into songs. Be sure you won't see any 3-minute hits this time either. More like a bunch of 10+ minutes hits, haha... Anyways, this will be a long process before we are ready to record the next masterpiece, but I thought it'd be nice to inform you about everything as we go along - no matter how long it takes.

Stay tuned for more Domination."

Behemoth - Rehearsing Again, Bible-Tearing Trial Back On Track

Polish blackened death metal quartet Behemoth are back in full force and ready to take the stage again! For the first time since Nergal's hospital visit back in 2010, the band is rehearsing together again for the upcoming Phoenix Rising Tour, taking place in October.

Frontman Nergal comments: "Sooo, first rehearsals after the transplant are under our belts! I didn't want to get overexcited at first, just wanted to see how things would go, but I have to tell you... the second rehearsal we fuckin' nailed "Ov Fire And The Void", "Lucifer", "Conquer All" or "Antichristian Phenomenon" flawlessly! One of us even asked: "Did we really take a year off from each other?" Haha... it was good times in great company! But the biggest surprise were the songs we NEVER played live ever and planning to do on the upcoming "Phoenix Rising Tour". I won't reveal any names yet, let it be a mystery til we hit the stage, all right?"

In other news, Nergal went to court again this week. The charges against Nergal for tearing apart a bible on stage (video footage here) are still on and the trial is back on track.

Commented Nergal: "I spent 5 hours In the court in Gdynia today (Wednesday, June 29th). The case is back on track and there's still few witnesses to be interviewed. It's way to early to give any further comment. I just hope the final verdict is gonna be positive for me. I have a feeling that I'm in this situation for right reasons and I'm not giving up. Cross fingers! The battle ain't over yet..."

Dark Funeral - New Vocalist Announced

Swedish black metal band Dark Funeral are proud to introduce Steve "Nachtgarm" Marbs as the new vocalist of the band.

Dark Funeral guitarist Lord Ahriman had the following to say: "I must admit that it surely was not an easy task to find a worthy replacement for Emperor Magus Caligula, who has been doing an amazing job for Dark Funeral during the past 15 years. He has not only been "the vocalist" for the band, but also a very good friend of mine and he always will be!

Anyway, 10 months of intense search worldwide have finally given result. And I'm very proud to announce and welcome Steve "Nachtgarm" Marbs (Negator) to the horde.

I think, I can speak for everyone in the band and say that besides completely knocking us down with the strength of his vocals and wide register, what truly blew us away was his presence, energy and the amazing spirit he showed during the final audition. He just came into the rehearsal room, found and took his rightful spot. And then just set the whole place on hellfire!

It's really hard to explain "that" certain feeling one is looking for, but once you get it, you just know that you've found the right man for the job. And that is something we all got "deluxe". No doubt about that! Mankind has no idea what is coming upon them. And I can't wait to bring this maniac on tour for the world to experience Dark Funeral in the most intense and hellish way ever!

During the 10 month we have been looking for a new vocalist and drummer, we have received over 1000 applications. The interest to join Dark Funeral has been way over expectation and quite overwhelming to say the least. And I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who applied for the jobs. One thing is for sure: There are a lot of unknown talents out there. And once they've found the right band to deliver their goods, I'm sure we all will hear from many of these guys in the future."

Guitarist Chaq Mol adds: "When E.M. Caligula quit the band my first thought was "how the fuck will we be able to find a worthy replacement now?". In my eyes he was the best vocalist in the Black Metal scene. Anyhow, after we had listened through a couple of hundreds applicants, there were two guys that really stood out and sounded very promising indeed. The question now was, would they nail it on a live audition too, and would their personalities be of that kind we were looking for?! Well, after 10 month search we finally found the right man for the job! And all my previous doubts and concerns are now a memory forgotten. Nachtgarm, welcome to the horde!"

Ryan has been assisting us with demo sessions since the last album and it felt very natural for us to try the final product with him.

"We then went to Studio Fredman located in Gothenburg Sweden for the mix and master. Our longtime producer Fredrik Nordström and Henrik Udd worked long and hard to make the best out of what we gave them. We have recorded sixteen songs overall, and as we promised before our guest players actually need no introduction.

Machinery - Calls It Quits

Swedish metallers Machinery have called it quit.

Guitarist/vocalist Michel Isberg states:

Hi Everyone!

"I got some sad news for ya but the time has come that Machinery will be no more! We've reached to a point where we asked ourselves is it all worth it? And there are many reasons why we've reached for this conclusion! Some of them are too long and boring to even try to explain and some others that are beyond our control!

"However, we will form a new band, that doesn't have a label attached to itself, a history or a name yet. All in all we feel quite good on the situation and look forward to create new music again! At this moment nothing is decided yet but stay tuned during this summer for the announcement of our new endeavours!"

MOSH on folks!
/Michel
