The first Michael Schenker Fest studio album, Resurrection, will be in stores on March 2nd 2018 via Nuclear Blast. This track features Metallica's guitarist Kirk Hammett.

Hard-working New Jersey thrashers Overkill have returned to the studio to resume work on demos reportedly for their upcoming album. According to a post on their Facebook page, at least four new songs are in varying stages of completion at the moment, with more to come. The group released The Grinding Wheel just last year.

Brazilian thrash metal group Nervosa has entered renowned Family Mob Studio in São Paulo to record their third full-length album, expected later in the year via Napalm Records. The legendary Ratos De Porão and Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) have already recorded at this studio. Other big names who also visited and rehearsed at the studio were Dave Lombardo, King Diamond and Death DTA during recent appearances in Brazil.

The Norwegian Viking metallers Enslaved just announced their first ever show in Turkey. It will happen in Istanbul on April 4th at Zorlu Performans Sanatları Merkezi. In other news, the band has also confirmed the reissue of their debut EP, 1993's Hordanes Land on ByNorse Music, Ivar Bjørnson Peersen's own label. The CD and digital will be released on March 2nd and the LPs on April 20th.
