Avatarium - Announce New Live Bassist

Doom metal act Avatarium have a new live bassist. While Leif Edling won't be able to tour with them, Anders Iwers who has been playing with them live for two years will not join the band now. They are bringing in bassist Mats Rydström for their upcoming shows.

Autumn: Death - Recording Debut Album

Swedish black/death metal hybrids Autumn: Death have announced that the band is currently holed up in the studio recording an album, which will be their debut after the Autumn Death EP. Confess - Iranian Band Jailed, Facing Possible Execution

This is concerning. According to reports, members of Iranian thrash/metalcore band Confess have reportedly been jailed and are facing a possible execution for playing metal. Two musicians were arrested in November 2015 and could potentially face execution for charges of blasphemy.

Delain - Release Upcoming EP Samples

Delain are about to release a new EP and just shared with their fans samples from all the tracks that will appear on Lunar Prelude, which is hitting stores next week on the 19th of February 2016 via Napalm Records, in preparation of their next full length studio album. Lunar Prelude is a collection of brand new tracks, a new version of a familiar one, and live versions of some of their favorite The Human Contradiction tracks.

Accept - Announce New Shows

Havnatt - New Album On The Way

Havnatt's vocalist Cecilie Langlie (Skumring, Vagrant God and Omit) has revealed that a new album from the band is in the works. The Norwegian neofolk duo is preparing the follow-up to 2013's Etterlatte and Cecilie says she's at Secret Quarters Studio recording vocals for Havnatt's new album.
