Broken Hope - Founding Member Ryan Stanek Dies

Sad and shocking news arrive from the Broken Hope camp. Their original drummer and co-founder Ryan Syenak has passed away at the young age of 42 years old. Syenak co-founded the band with guitarist Jeremy Wagner and vocalist Joe Ptacek (who committed suicide in 2010) and he also designed the death metallers first ever logo. R.I.P.

Armored Saint - Releasing New Album This Summer

There is more heavy metal coming your way courtesy of Armored Saint. Five years after they released La Raza, the Los Angeles metal unit has announced the title and release date for their upcoming album, Win Hands Down. Look for the new album out on June 2nd via Metal Blade Records. The label promises a "dynamic and enthralling metal masterpiece."

Van Halen - Two Live Songs Available Online

Van Halen will release its first-ever live album to feature original singer David Lee Roth. Recorded on June 21st, 2013 at the famed Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, Tokyo Dome Live In Concert includes 23 songs, spanning all seven of the band's albums with Roth. It will be released as a double CD, four-LP set on 180-gram vinyl, and digitally beginning on March 31st, 2015. For now, you can listen to ''Panama'' and ''Runnin' With The Devil'' which have now been made available online.

Metallica - Launch Reissue Project With 'No Life 'Til Leather' Cassette

Remember the 1982 No Life 'Til Leather demo? And cassettes? Well, Metallica will celebrate this year's "Record Store Day" with the release of an exact duplication of the band's 1982 demo tape as a limited-edition cassette on April 18th. The artwork was made from Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich's own copy and will feature his handwriting. At the time, the group consisted of vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield, lead guitarist Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), bassist Ron McGovney and drummer Ulrich. Some of the songs from this demo became classics of the band and all but "The Mechanix" would appear on their debut Kill 'Em All.

Evertale - New Video Released

Evertale have a new video online. According to them, in a spontaneous action they have decided to shoot a video for the title track "Of Dragons And Elves" from the remastered album which was released via NoiseArt Records worldwide on February 27th. Motörhead - Update From The Studio

Motörhead recently returned to the studio to begin work on their 22nd studio album. The heavy metal legendary band released their latest album in 2013, Aftershock, but the band also faced a tough time after cancelling shows due to health issues of frontman Lemmy Kilmister. Sorcerer - New Song Streaming Online

Sorcerer formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1988 and was active until 1992. The doomsters got back together for a one-off show at the Hammer Of Doom festival in Germany in 2010 and has been an active band since. The band recently finished the album In In The Shadow Of The Inverted Cross, which will be released by Metal Blade on March 24th. You can give a listen to the new track "Sumerian Script" now here.
