After 12 years, Danish melodic black metal outfit Fairytale Abuse has decided to call it quits. The band posted a lengthy statement on their MySpace page: "The band's decision is made mutually between the band members and comes as a natural decision after long periods of inactivity. Norwegian black metal outfit 1349 are set to release their first-ever live DVD, entitled Hellvetia Fire - The Official 1349 Bootleg, on the 24th of October through Candlelight Records.

The DVD was filmed live at the Bikini Test Club in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland on November 12, 2005. It also features a special live appearance from Tom Fischer (Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, Triptykon).

Danish death metallers Dawn Of Demise are currently working on their new album, which will be the follow-up to A Force Unstoppable, released in 2010.

The band issued a very short update on their Facebook page: "The next album will contain 12 songs and the running time will be 40 minutes.
