Visions Of Atlantis - Finishes Recording New Album
Visions Of Atlantis have finished the recordings of their forthcoming yet-untitled album, the follow-up to 2007's Trinity. The band issued the following update:
"There is a lot going on in the VoA-camp at the moment and everyone's quite busy preparing for the upcoming aibum. One thing first: Recordings are finished. Everything is done!!! The Guys and Girl did a great job over the last months (yes, we where taking a lot of time for recording) and it was worth every single second of the Work as the result just sounds amazing!
So, what's the plan now?
Mixing and mastering are starting now and will be finished very soon. Also very soon we will tell the world the exact release date and of course album title. Also expect a complete new MySpace-design with album cover, new promo pics and more and more in November! At the moment the band is preparing the show for next week Metal Female Voices Fest VIII. Would be great meeting some of you there maybe!
Also feel free to join our new Group on Facebook just by searching Visions Of Atlantis Official, where you can find daily news and hot stuff directly written by the band members! You can also find reports of different band members concerning the recording process there, which will be also added here on MySpace soon with a lot more, so be sure to stay tuned in the meantime.
As promised: VoA will return with a thunderclap in early 2011, be prepared for weekly news now as the main-work is done and there's time again for all other things besides recording!"

Enthroned - Show Cancellations
Enthroned will not be touring Guatemala, Honduras and San Salvador this December. The band issued the following apology:
"We are very sorry to announce that we have to cancel the shows in Guatemala, Honduras and San Salvador this December. The concert in Mexico City remains and is still happening! We got informed by the local promoters that a hurricane might hit those countries at that period and flights will most likely be canceled.
Regarding the promoter, the dates will be re-scheduled next year, in 2011. It's always better to let our fans from Guatemala, Honduras & San Salvador know about the situation, and we hope those dates are not canceled but just delayed to a few months. As for the rest and to all Mexican Maniacs out there, see you in December!"

Lonewolf - Line-Up Changes In The Band
French metallers Lonewolf have parted ways with long time guitarist Damien Capolongo.
The band's vocalist, Jens Volker Mathias Bömer, states: "Damien, our long time lead guitarist and Lonewolf go separate ways now. Other priorities, family, the will of playing something a bit different made this choice as an evidence for Damien, and it is the best decision for both sides to avoid any future misunderstandings which could be bad for our true friendship that of course still remains. We wish Damien all the best for the future.
Nevertheless, he'll play the two upcoming gigs with us: Luynes and Toreille, to close this chapter in a cool way.
Alex, our bass player, (but former Nightmare guitarist) will take the lead guitar, and we will search a new bass player. We don't give a fuck about a monster of technicality, we want to find a true metal child for whom the names Manilla Road, Stormwitch or Running Wild don't sound foreign and strange."

Abysmal Dawn - Finish Recording New Album
Abysmal Dawn recently wrapped up the recording and mixing process to their new album and follow up to 2008's Programmed to Consume.
Guitarist/vocalist Charles Elliott checked in as follows: "We've been working on and off in the studio on this album since May and now we're finally done. After a series of set backs, illness, and going through a world of shit in our personal lives, we had no choice but to make this record our revenge and the defining moment for Abysmal Dawn. We've had the finished mixes for about a week now and everyone that has heard it has been just blown away. We can already tell that this will be the record that the band will become known for. It's a very varied, extreme, technical, and melodic record and I can promise you that no one will be disappointed."
The yet-untitled album's drum parts were recorded at Trench Studios in Corona, CA with John Haddad (Phobia, Intronaut, Hirax). The majority of the sessions were produced and recorded by Mike Bear (Artisan, ex-Prototype), at Artisan Road Studios in Encino, CA and the CD was mixed and mastered by Erik Rutan (Cannibal Corpse, Goatwhore, Hate Eternal) at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, FL. An early 2011 release date is expected with additional recording / album details to be made available shortly.

Divinity - Release New Video
Canada's metallers Divinity have just released the video for "Lay In The Bed You've Made," from the band's Candlelight Records debut The Singularity. You can watch it below or at this location
The vibrant, explosive video was directed and filmed by fellow Calgarian and cinematographer Doug Cook, who also created Divinity's Plasma video, from the band's 2007 release, Allegory.
"The song is about taking responsibility at both a personal level and as a civilization; how the decisions we make have trapped us in certain ways and a limited number of people have controlled our fate almost arbitrarily in some aspects," says guitarist Sacha Laskow. "We went with director Doug Cook once again as he is intensely creative and professional. Working with Doug is always an awesome experience and he matched the visuals to the music perfectly. We wanted more of a performance-based video this time to showcase the playing aspect but still maintain some concept as well."

Sigh - Signs To Candlelight Records
The guys at Candlelight Records are proud to announce the signing of Japanese metallers Sigh. Mirai Kawashima had this to say about the bands new deal with Candlelight Records:
"After we released our debut album Scorn Defeat on Deathlike Silence Productions in 1993, we had to choose a new label to sign to between Candlelight Records and Cacophonous Records. And we, who knew nothing about music business, chose Cacophonous only because they got back to us faster, which obviously was a huge mistake! Now, 17 years since then, we've finally come to work with Candlelight Records. They have a great roster including our mates Meads Of Asphodel. We're truly looking forward to releasing our 9th album tentatively entitled In Somniphobia in 2011."

Thy Flesh Consumed - Band Calls It Quits
Canadian death metal outfit Thy Flesh Consumed has decided to call it quits. The band issued the following statement:
"October 30th, 2010 will be Thy Flesh Consumed's final show. Vocalist Peter Mestre is moving out of province for work. It should be noted that the collective interest in the band has been fading this past year and regardless, the end was near. Instead of fading away, we are going out with a bang, and on October 30th, we will be sharing the stage with Hellacaust and Terratomb for the last time. Expect blasting material from all 4 full-lengths as well as material from our upcoming "swan song" split with Tyrant's Blood. Hellacaust will be celebrating their 10th anniversary with an all out horror themed show so please come in costume!
Thanks to everyone who has supported the death grind machine over the past nine intense years, you know who you are. A special thanks to the die-hard fans who picked up our albums and swag and to those who came out to the shows, you fueled the infernal machine!"
