Warbringer - Album Release Date Announced

US thrash metal quintet Warbringer will release their upcoming new album, Worlds Torn Asunder, on September 27th through Century Media Records.

Worlds Torn Asunder was produced and mixed by the renowned Steve Evetts (Suicide Silence, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Symphony X), and features artwork by the talented Dan Seagrave, who designed Warbringer's previous album cover (in addition to art for bands such as Entombed, Suffocation and Morbid Angel).

About the artwork, vocalist John Kevill comments: "The concept behind Worlds Torn Asunder was the decline of our existing world at the hands of the human race. The artwork depicts the world literally being torn and we wanted to include the setting in the cosmos along with a darker 'higher' force lurking behind the shadows. We had worked with Dan Seagrave before on Waking into Nightmares and were very comfortable with the way he expressed himself. He's been the artist for many bands we love and are inspired by."

Worlds Torn Asunder tracklist:

01. Living Weapon
02. Shattered Like Glass
03. Wake Up... Destroy
04. Future Ages Gone
05. Savagery
06. Treacherous Tongue
07. Echoes From The Void
08. Enemies Of The State
09. Behind The Veils Of Night
10. Demonic Ecstasy

Warbringer - New Album Details

Worlds Torn Asunder, the new upcoming album of US thrashers Warbringer will be released in September through Century Media Records.

The album was produced by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Sepultura, Symphony X).

Commented vocalist John Kevill: "With this record we were trying to do 2 things: to make something that progressed in new directions from our previous work, but also to keep all the speed and intensity at the forefront. I really think we've pulled that off with this record, we have a great and diverse batch of songs. Musically I think we have songs on this record that move forward from the styles of both our previous records, and some that go in completely new directions that the band has never done before. We are really excited to put this record out, we are really trying to raise the bar with this one."

Worlds Torn Asunder tracklist:

01. Living Weapon
02. Shattered Like Glass
03. Wake Up... Destroy
04. Future Ages Gone
05. Savagery
06. Treacherous Tongue
07. Echoes From The Void
08. Enemies Of The State
09. Behind The Veils Of Night

Warbringer - Will Enter The Studio On Monday

Warbringer have been working on new material since coming off the road in late November and will be entering the recording studio on Monday, April 18th.

Producing this time will be Steve Evetts, who has an impressive resume working with bands as diverse as The Dillinger Escape Plan and Symphony X to Sepultura and Hatebreed.

Explains guitarist John Laux: "Our goal with this record is to make something beyond a run-of-the-mill metal CD. The most difficult challenge is always finding just the right balance between a raw, aggressive sound and modern production standards.

Warbringer - Drummer Leaves The Band

Last night, Warbringer played at the House of Blues in Hollywood, CA supporting Sepultura and Angra. This marked the last show together with drummer Nic Ritter (ex-Prototype). After a two-year international touring cycle and one album, Waking Into Nightmares, Nic and the band have decided to collectively part ways.

Nic had this to say about his decision: "I felt like it was time for a change both musically and personally. All is good between the guys and myself as this was a mutual decision. I wish them the best in the future and with the next album."

Added Warbringer guitarist John Laux: "Nic Ritter is an incredible drummer and we wish him the best of luck! I know he made a lot of friends around the world and I just want everyone to understand that our decision to part ways was mutual and necessary. Nic has worked very hard with us over the last 2 years and we are grateful for his contributions musically and his commitment personally on the road."

In the meantime, Warbringer have been writing and practicing with a new drummer and will perform their first show together as part of the EyeScream Festival in Mexico City on March 5th.
