Entwine - Tourbus And Instruments Destroyed In Fire

According to the Finnish broadcasting company YLE, Finnish gothic metal band Entwine's tour bus was burnt to the ground in Ähtäri Saturday morning (April 18). The driver sleeping in the top bunk of the bus barely managed to escape from the burning vehicle. In addition to the bus, all of the group's instruments were destroyed. The fire caused the band estimately 50,000 euros worth of damage."

Evereyone in the band and crew are safe and ok, and they are still hoping to go and play their gigs.

Sentenced - Guitarist Dies At Age 34

Finnish newspapers and Blabbermouth.net are reporting that Miika Tenkula, former lead guitarist and main songwriter of the acclaimed Finnish band Sentenced, was found dead at his home earlier yesterday (Thursday, February 19). He was 34 years old. Miika Tenkula was also the band's original vocalist from 1989 to late 1992.

Nalle Österman (Gandalf, Lullacry, Chaosbreed) tells Blabbermouth.net, "It's true, confirmed personally by Sentenced] drummer Vesa Ranta. The fact remains that Miika had a serious drinking problem for many years which escalated after Sentenced was buried. They don't call it King Alcohol for nothing... The metal scene in Finland mourns now for one of the most talented metal guitarists to ever emerge from ."

The official cause of Miika's death has not yet been released.

Hanoi Rocks - Part Ways With Drummer

The following statement was posted at the official Hanoi Rocks site:

"Hanoi Rocks drummer to be replaced: Hanoi Rocks will end their working relationship with their current drummer Lacu.

Lacu will leave the band after Hanoi Rocks' European tour, which will start from Stockholm, 14th of February and will finish at the Astoria Club, London 7th of March 2008. The change behind the drumkit will not affect the forthcoming Hanoi Rocks gigs or tours.

The new drummer will be announced soon."

According to Finnish newspaper "Iltalehti" Lacu will join Finnish rock band "Popeda" after Hanoi Rocks' European tour is completed.
