Italian metallers Ephel Duath are working on their new EP, due in summer 2012 via their recently-signed deal with Agonia Records.

In a video filmed at Sharkbyte Studios (Machine Head, Exodus, High On Fire) in Oakland, California, drummer Marco Minnemann plays an extract from the song "Stardust Rain" and bass legend Steve DiGiorgio (Death, Testament, Sadus, Obscura) plays the intro of the song "Black Prism".

Erik Rutan will mix the EP at his Mana Recording Studio (Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal) in San Petersburg, Florida. Alan Douches will master the material at West West Side Music (Death, Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Clutch) in New York.

Just completing the drums today for our new full-length album, Silencing Machine, to be released on Century Media Records worldwide on Tuesday, July 31st, 2012 (It will be available on CD/ LP/digital). We will also be announcing the official tour dates for our upcoming U.S. midwest mini-tour with Krieg and Murmur beginning on July 25th. We will be headlining the first of two nights at the annual underground black metal festival, The Gathering Of Shadows, out in Colorado. The festival dates are July 27th and July 28th. We will headline the night of the 27th, and then we will be playing a headlining show in Denver with the full tour package + local support on Sunday, July 29th. Venue and ticketing details will be announced when we release the details for the entire tour sometime next week.

Guitarist/vocalist Helmuth Lehner of extreme metallers Belphegor has revealed that the group is working on material.

The new as yet untitled album, tentatively slated for a late 2012 release, will be the follow up to January 2011's Blood Magick Necromance. From this coming Saturday until next Wednesday, Belphegor will start the first rehearsal session for album X, in Abtenau, Austria. The drum duties will again be handled by Marthyn, who did an outstanding job on Blood Magick Necromance.

Helmuth commented: "Amazing to have the opportunity to be creative again and compose a new album. I begun the compositions in November 2011, after I had to spend five weeks in the hospital and 6 weeks in rehabilitation center, because of my health issues. I survived this hard trial, which still seems unreal. I am not fully recovered, but feel way better now, I can say. Unfortunately we had to cancel all tours until June 2012, when we will get back on the road, and will start with some European open air rituals."

Serpenth added: "At this time, we don't feel the pressure of a hard touring schedule and all the rigors surrounding that, so we can concentrate and create these arrangements in a completely focused way and can even put more energy, blood and guts inside. Working intensely on ten tracks. We are totally concentrated, you know ,the musick reigns above all. Magick. It's time for a new chapter."
