Well, I think we can expect everything from Devin! I hated his last album but that first track is pretty good! We'll see

Unfortunately, I found it extraordinarily bland. Djentish. Dev's vox are awesome though.

I agree, I find that he's fully succumbed to the mainstream excuse for 'prog' (which is just djent) metal nowadays. The production is so unrealistically tight. Oh and wow, look, Anneke's on this record too, I'm so surprised...

He keeps her in a cupboard in his cellar, these days. Only lets her out to sing.

Eh, I mean he's been super into Meshuggah since Ziltoid, and his last couple of albums (at least since Addicted) have had very djent heavy rhythms.

I quite like this and I'm not a fan of djent. There is enough melody and clean vocals for an old man like me to enjoy.

I'm always excited for new Devin stuff but the track wasn't particularly great. Still enjoyable though. Keeping my optimism.

I was expecting Periphery based on the descriptions, but didn't find it offputtingly djent-y, I guess mainly because the guitars are pretty quiet in the mix behind the vocals and symphonics. I enjoyed it quite a lot though. Sky Blue is probably my favourite Devin release, at least since Terria, so hope this is a good follow-up

To me personally I believe DT has been stuck on cruise control for far too long now. Just boring and generic. Nothing to grab a hold of the listener or deliver any form of entertainment ...
Whatever it takes to get on that Top 100 Billboard right, DT? ..... WEAK!

I get the people who says it's a risk-free kind of song, but I liked it.
There's only one question I need an answer for-
Why Anneke? I really don't get what he finds in her. I find here voice mediocre at best but I'll be happy to be proven wrong.
