Abhorrence, the band who were among the pioneers of Finnish death metal in the late 1980's, are working on an EP after nearly three decades. The EP, titled Megalohydrothalassophobic, is planned to be released next autumn through Svart Records.

Vocalist Jukka Kolehmainen comments in the press release: "We have a long process for new songs. We had to find the same old Abhorrence spirit, which is the most important thing for us. And then we ended up doing it the old way. The riffs that have been screaming in the back of our minds have been dug up, then we invented a handful of new ones and slammed all that together in rehearsals. Bassist Jussi Ahlroth dives deep into the Cthulhu philosophy in the lyrics of this concept record and finally we add more rugged roughness to the result."
