While waiting for the release of Michael Romeo's third studio album, War Of The Worlds Pt. 2 (March 25 via Inside Out Music), check out another advance single called ''Divide & Conquer''. The accompanying lyric video directed and edited by Wayne Joyner.
Michael Romeo on his new solo album: "I'm really excited to finally release the new solo album, War Of The Worlds, Part 2. After many delays, lockdowns, new variants, etc... ha! It looks like things are getting back on track. I'm hoping this new music will put some smiles on some faces in these uncertain times. My best wishes to everyone for 2022!"

On it's own I agree it's a killer, but coming from part 1, this is starting to get repetitive. Also I'm not in love with his singer, I liked the other guy better. And I'm a big fan of Romeo and SX...

I wonder who's gonna listen to a Romeo album if he would do something totally different than his usual songwriting. Jim Matheos has a crossover prog project (Tuesday the Sky), with post rock touches, anyone knows about it? Maybe a few prog-rock listeners and a few curious FW fans. But then Arch/Matheos was a success because he did what was expected of him and everyone welcome it with arms open.

Maybe Romeo wants it like that, I don't know, but if i wasn't paying attention i could think that is a new Symphony X song. My point is, maybe he could do something different so he distinguishes it from Symphony X, like his first instrumental.

Symphony X's last album was in 2015. I'm fine with a new Michael Romeo album, even if it sounds a bit like SX release. My question remains the same: how many people would listen to Romeo doing something totally different than before?
