Voyager - Share New Single & Video Clip

Last year, Australian electro power prog formation Voyager were bestowed the distinct honor of taking part in the song contest 'Eurovision - Australia Decides! Now'. The band is now premiering the single that has been selected to compete. Check out the song, called "Dreamer", with accompanying music video down under.

Vocalist and keytarist Danny Estrin has previously commented on the track, "As humans, we tend to look to the stars and glorify what could be. Simply, "Dreamer" is about looking at the here, the now and valuing what we have around us. Especially over the last two years, hopes and dreams vs the tiny locked down bubble we live in has been a constant push and pull... It's good to be a dreamer, but the grass isn't necessarily always greener. We're bringing this track to 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' as our official entry and we can’t wait to finally be on stage again!"

Looking for recognition for rock/metal or themselves, same as lordi or H.E.A.T.

Why try looking for recognition in the parade of ridiculousness that's Eurovision is beyond me...

It's a pretty cool song, I'm a bit disappointed as I was hoping for a new record announcement...

I get it, but Eurovision is not the place to do it, most people that watch that show are not into metal. Also the music in that competition is usually generic music, safest and lightest, many saccharine ballads, in recent years very PC. In my opinion it's a cringe-fest.

Also Australia participating in a Eurovision competition makes no sense to me.

I agree, Eurovision is a joke even if your not into metal. Last year I had to watch it since I was at some friend's home and is more of a circus than anything else. Specially when they try to sell "rock rebel attitude" like the winner's did...

That being said I hope Voyager can get at least more exposition and gain some money, that's all they can gain from going there...

About Australia participating, they usually "invite" a non european country as to share the shame across the globe.

Weren't these guys kind of proggy before this? Weird stuff.

Saw them open for Rhapsody of Fire like ten years ago. Don't remember a thing other than one of them had a keytar and played a medley of popular keyboard riffs.

We've been in Eurovision for a couple of years now. No Idea why. Night as well add the rest of the world, too, if we're considered European.
Also the only way an Australian metal act gets mentioned in the Australian media, anyway.

My question is: Is that a goo thing?
Big media (in every country) will chew that as "those freaky 80s" guys and not a understand a bit of how great Voyager are.

Sweden is consistently proposing metal/rock acts and nothing has come out of it (even when Lordi actually went to the thing).
