Usnea - To Go On Indefinite Hiatus

Doom outfit Usnea have decided to go on an indefinite hiatus after 13 years. The band will perform a string of farewell shows in the Pacific Northwest and then move on to other projects. You can read the band's entire statement below.

The band posted the following:: "After 13 years, we have decided to go on an indefinite hiatus. We are playing several farewell shows in the Pacific Northwest and then we will all be moving on to other projects.

"We have been on a fantastical journey with one another and all of you—friends, fans, bandmates, family. It has been an extreme privilege to share our catharsis with the world. We do not take that bond lightly and are incredibly grateful for all of you. As bleak as this world has been—and is yet to get—supporting each other through mutual aid, co-creating art that penetrates to the deeper realms of our being, and fostering love and compassion are what make it all bearable.

"Thank you for all of the support, the friendship, and the memories. We hope to see you at one of these last shows:

"September 26th - The High Water Mark, Portland, OR
September 28th - Substation, Seattle, WA
November 23rd - Twilight Cafe And Bar, Portland, OR
"
