ehm....like derek roddy and thomas haake are the only drummers of these that i would accept in this category as one of the best. with those others....well.....i dont say that theyre bad or something, but they dont deserve it.

I'd say that he's a rightful winner, nothing wrong in the top5 IMO.

Don't let the name Slipknot fool you, Jordison's quite the drummer. Haake definitely deserves first though.

Where is George Kollias? Joey Jordinson makes it but not George? JJ is so over-rated, its disgusting.

Joey Jordison is not bad! Maybe not THAT good but he still deserves some of his attention. Derek Roddy is better though, and then I can't see what the two others are doing there at all.

What about Stef Broks (Textures), Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree), or even Mario Duplantier (Gojira)? It seems to me that the readers poll is somewhat skewed towards bands of origin to or with greater exposure to North America. Give it a few more years and we'll be seeing quite a few different names on this list. Still, good rankings tho.

I wasn't expecting george anyway, he is nothing but a speed demon. Martin Lopez would have been a nice one though.

I agree with you. Although Im not a drummer, if the drummer's skill is at least relatively proportional to band's overall skills, than there could deffinitely be some other in the top5... Like Gene Hoglan, or Mike Portnoy, or something...

why do people bitch about Joey Jordison here? simple just because he is in Slipknot, but actually a much better drummer than what he does in that band. He did drum with both Satryicon and Slayer on their tours. And he was great there. He is much more versatile a drummer that someone like Kollias.

Yes, Joey has every right to be in this top 5. I would rate hime above the nr's 2 ,3 & 4 though. Yes he IS better than Roddy, Alder & Bittner if you ask me.

He also toured with Ministry. Still a bit of a douchebag but yeah, he's a good drummer.

Forgot about him touring with Ministry. I dont know if he's a douchebag or not since I never met him, but he does come across as such in quite a few interviews though. But being a douchebag does not take away from his drumming capacities.

Number 1 without doubt. Haake is a God among men.

IMO the whole list is fine exept for Joey Jordison, I think he's in Mike Portnoy's place.
