Kinda saw another relative lists on here that state this, one bad and one inspirational, so thought I might do my own.

Alphabetic order. And don't ask why a lot of Testament stuff is there, if their albums hadn't had so much impact, Testa wouldn't be my favorite band.
49.
1.
AC/DC - Back In Black
First ever rock 'n' roll experience.
49.
2.
Accept - Stalingrad
Title track was the first song ever to leave me teary-eyed. FUCK YOU ALL, THIS IS MANLY.
49.
3.
Agalloch - The Mantle
Most album that talked to my emotions at bad times (also helped that it was winter).
49.
4.
Amon Amarth - Versus The World
What got me into melodeath and viking themes. Especially "Death In Fire".
49.
5.
Anthrax - Spreading The Disease
With "Madhouse", I came to appreciate the culture of thrashers in general.
49.
6.
Benighted - Icon
I used to hate grindcore and too much brutal death, but this made me turn 180 degrees.
49.
7.
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
No explanation needed for the impact.
49.
8.
Cannibal Corpse - Tomb Of The Mutilated
"Hammer Smashed Face" was the first song that scared me in metal. However, this type of extremity is exactly what my subconscious wanted.
49.
9.
Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger
First ever black metal experience.
49.
10.
Death - Symbolic
First dive into progressive "elements" of music.
49.
11.
Dio - Holy Diver
I imitated this guy's vocals on Vice City Stories so many times. When I knew the band and the album, then it was another story. Then I went into a deep period of heavy metal worship. R.I.P. :'(
49.
12.
Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory
"The Spirit Carries On" was my first ever progressive metal listen.
49.
13.
Emperor - In The Nightside Eclipse
First ever symphonic black metal experience.
49.
14.
Exodus - Bonded By Blood
Was my big sign to turn me away from worshiping the Big 4. This... this... madness..
49.
15.
Immolation - Close To A World Below
What got me into old-school brutal death.
49.
16.
Iron Maiden - Powerslave
One of the biggest impacts on me musically.
49.
17.
Iron Maiden - The Number Of The Beast
This masterpiece accompanied its sibling above. Same stuff.
49.
18.
Judas Priest - Sad Wings Of Destiny
First time I ever realized there were good metal vocalists. "Victim Of Changes", to be specific.
49.
19.
KISS - Lick It Up
What got me hooked up to a few hard rock and rock 'n' roll for a long time. Big impact with the title track.
49.
20.
Kreator - Pleasure To Kill
First time I ever heard Teutonic / very extreme Thrash. Also my first proto-death stuff.
49.
21.
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV
What got me into classic rock.
49.
22.
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin
What got me into Zeppelin. (IV got me into classic rock though because I ignored this a bit before that one's impact)
49.
23.
Machine Head - The Blackening
What made me appreciate groove metal as a good genre if done right. (G. Hero and YouTube to thank)
49.
24.
Mastodon - Leviathan
First ever stoner / sludge experience.
49.
25.
Megadeth - Countdown To Extinction
Made me want guitar. And want to hear thrash metal. And stuff. <==3
49.
26.
Megadeth - Rust In Peace
Made me appreciate instrumental technicality.
49.
27.
Metallica - Metallica
What got me into metal in the first place.
49.
28.
Metallica - Kill 'Em All
What got me into thrash.
49.
29.
Morbid Angel - Altars Of Madness
Nothing can beat this album's influence on death metal.
49.
30.
Morbid Angel - Covenant
Or this one's impact.
49.
31.
Motörhead - Ace Of Spades
It got me into.. Motorhead. Usually this causes severe emotional impact.
49.
32.
Napalm Death - Scum
This is something not of this world, certainly. Perhaps because I'm new to grindcore, but this is really a work of art.
49.
33.
Necrophagist - Onset Of Putrefaction
What made me love tech-death.
49.
34.
Nile - Those Whom The Gods Detest
What got me into brutal death in general.
49.
35.
Opeth - Blackwater Park
What made me appreciate progressive metal.
49.
36.
Pantera - Cowboys From Hell
You won't believe how many times I've replayed "Cowboys From Hell" and kept listening.
49.
37.
Queen - The Game
They were truly good. Forget the "TR00" crap, when it's a very good rock band, it has to be very famous.
49.
38.
Rush - 2112
What got me into progressive rock.
49.
39.
Slayer - Reign In Blood
What defined what is thrash metal for me.

What got me into punk / crossover thrash.
49.
42.
Swallow The Sun - Emerald Forest And The Blackbird
My first NDE. (Near-Doom Experience)
49.
43.
Testament - Demonic
A lot of character and impact here, even though overall this is merely a fun ride and that's it.
49.
44.
Testament - Practice What You Preach
A lot of groovy thrash here. Big impact.
49.
45.
Testament - The Legacy
Testament's best work, materially speaking. I prefer 'Order, but this is really their best as for quality.
49.
46.
Testament - The New Order
What got me into those Gods. My most impacting album ever, my most listened-to album ever. Yes, this is truly legendary to me.
49.
47.
Thy Catafalque - Rengeteg
First avantgarde experience.
49.
48.
The Who - Who's Next
Stuff that made me love rock more and more.
49.
49.
Wolves In The Throne Room - Celestial Lineage
The first atmospheric black / blackgaze / whatever experience. Was my standard forest-walk anthem for a long time.

I love this list but I noticed there aren't any doom albums here. You don't like doom?
