Well, I am OK with that, since I know those albums. I was more worried about people with shit musical taste that have not heard those albums yet

So glad Guardians Of Time were added to the Power Metal category. No chance they will win it, as Blind Guardian's disappointing album will probably run away with it, but I'm glad it's there

I hope the Blind Guardian album doesn't run away with it. It was my disappointment of the year and the first Blind Guardian album ever I didn't like.

I'm in the same boat. I can listen to it, but i've never been disappointed in a Guardian album before. It will run away with it though. I think Sabaton ran away with it last year and their albums are all just the same stuff constantly . Oh well Who did you vote for in PM category?

The nominees have been released for barely an hour and you guys are discussing which one you have already voted on.
Classic metalstormers.

I voted for Gloryhammer in PM. They're energetic and sound like they're having fun.

Best Debut is the category I'm most interested in every year. So I was wondering, how come Chaos Echoes is a debut when the band has like 5 more releases on bandcamp? Learned about the band here a few days ago, so I'm all ears. I'm guessing they are EPs or something (quite long EPs if that's the case), but still feels like "cheating" when the band is already quite experienced against other contenders.

Is the Melodeath section missing some entries? There are only five albums in the category while all the others have ten.

You should complain also about Sorcerer too since they are from the 80's. Hahahaha

I was checking these guys a few mins ago (they sound great btw) and they did leave only a few demos from that era and didn't release not even an EP before splitting from what I see on this site's review. I don't have anything to say about that nomination if that's the case.

I just checked the rest of the nominates and saw that Izah, Outre, Khemmis and Terzij De Horde have released EPs before their debut. They are all dirty "cheaters"!

Nah, releasing an EP or two and/or demo before the debut LP is a common thing for newcomers, most nominees are usually under that situation. Chaos Echoes having 5/4 EPs, which I don't even know if some can considered as such, seemed like kinda unbalanced against the other band's historial.

Apparently Chaos Echoes only have 1 demo, 2 EPs and a Live album.
