Coroner - Entering The Studio This Fall
Swiss technical thrash metal legends Coroner are planning to enter the studio this fall to work on their long-awaited sixth studio album, which will be their first since 1993's Grin and their first without original drummer Markus "Marky" Edelmann, who left the band back in 2014 and was replaced by Diego Rapacchietti. Before the record comes out sometime next year, they will play some live dates at festivals around Europe and South America this summer and fall.
Coroner's plans to enter the studio this fall were revealed by Edelmann, who remains in contact with his former bandmates and is currently the drummer of Tar Pond. He stated to Agoraphobic News: "As far as I know they have more or less finished with the songwriting. They are supposed to finally go to the studio this fall. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm sure it's gonna be great."
