No way. I remember their previous stuff being weepy, derivative Post-Black schlock. This is actually pretty brilliant. I must be going soft. Perhaps I've incurred a head injury that I've forgotten about.

What a release, I remember Laurestine just being a lot of dramatic strings and climaxes, but this feels so much more intelligent and unique compositionally
