For those who listen to music using their ears, mind, and heart, this is another great album in terms of musicianship, inspiration, pace, mid-tempos, fast tempos, lyrics and etc. All the rest who listen to music using only their neck, don't bother at all.

Decent album, sounds kinda rushed. Heirloom could've been left out. I love that they experimented new sounds, the first and the last song are actually really good imo.

Jim Root was right, they weren't prepared for this album, rushed and half baked.

It's actually not bad. When I started listening to "Aderall" I thought it was going to be a massive crap tho.
After a couple of listens I'd say Hivemind is the song I most enjoyed.

I used my ears to listen but I'm not sure I'm hearing the same album you describe... I'm hearing the opposite terms of musicianship: uninspired, dull and most of all *utterly forgettable*

hey Come on dude let others have their opinions too. It's ok if you're one of the few that really liked it if you enjoy it that's fine. There's nothing wrong with that. We all have a few albums that we love but many dislike or are mixed on.

I wish I liked Slipknot TBH, it would give me some more music to enjoy as well as some understanding as to what a gazillion of people find so appealing with this band.
Sadly, even though I enjoy a plethora of metal genres and many other alternative & nu-metal bands, I can't recall a single Slipknot track I actually enjoy.

After three full spins(and going on) every song is a mandatory entry.

I remember liking Wait And Bleed and Vermillion but yea Slipknot is my least fav of the nu metal bands, I actually prefer Korn since I like a lot more of their stuff and Static-x since I'm a bigger industrial metal fan. Even Deftones first two Nu metal albums were great.

Cringe levels of bad.
Adding a few randomly placed experimental elements that a thousand other bands have already used does not make this any less unimpressive than previous efforts.

Medicine For The Dead was alright but a lot of it bored me. Some cool riffs here and their but that's really it for me.

I really enjoyed their last album, but this one feels very, very rushed. I can't imagine why a huge band such as Slipknot would have to rush a halfbaked album like this to the markets when they'd probably have all the time, skill and money in the world to make this thing blow your head off.

You've got a lot of guts. Let's see what they look like!

Some of THE worst trash I've ever heard. Slipknot went downhill the moment they went mainstream.
Every single album more watered down than the previous one. Its just music for the normies at this point.

I actually didn't mind the opening song - beyond that, though, it's a slog; I was really starting to struggle by the halfway mark

This is terrible. It's so frustrating to listen to an album you know was half assed.

I may have to join the dissenters here (maybe for my first post I should have picked something where I agreed with the majority opinion, but never mind) I like this album, I don't get the sense that it was rushed, and I'm enjoying the brief excursions into unfamiliar (for Slipknot) territory. My least favourite track is probably Heirloom because it reminds me of All Hope is Gone the most, which I wasn't keen on.
Bear in mind I've only listened to it 2 times now, I can't guarantee I'll think the same next week, but I think I'll still be listening to this for some time.
Also, I've got to assume H377 is meant to be Hell, but the only time I've seen numbers used for letters like that is 1337, so wouldn't that make it Hett?

This is their worst release imo. The songwriting is very uninspiring, and there are literally zero moments in the album that stand out for me
Edit: After a few more spins I can honestly say there's still nothing that impresses about this. I still stand by what I say about this being their worst album.

I'm not sure why people hate this album so much. I really enjoyed it and I like how it's different from other Slipknot albums.

Talk about a frustrating album. It has some interesting experimentation and several songs show some good intensity, but it feels like the entire thing was run through a syrup filter. Shame, since I thought the previous record was a return to old form.

This could be a "Black Album".
Probably may also go down in Biggest Letdown too.
