With their newest release, Dawn Ray'd demonstrate that folk black metal can work just as well as thrash in conveying pissed-off wishes of anarchy.

Bad English

Well organized artistic chaos put into black metsl whit raw punk influence and post scream vocals. Underated band, interesting band, also small neofolk vibes calm vocal passages and one song even had easy British accent. I want Glaswegian folk metal album.

Brings nothing new or exciting to the table. Bland guitar tone, bland vocals, bland production etc. It's just SO run of the mill. Albums like that are even less interesting than outright terrible ones.

Yes, there's nothing all that new here, the songwriting is ok, but nothing special, it's kinda dull for the vast majority, and lacks that interesting wow factor. There's some decent folkish melodies here and there, and the spoken word is a nice touch, but there's just not enough there to make me think, wow, this is good stuff. Such a shame really, just falls short in the end for me.

Sorry but this album was boring. Not poorly constructed... just boring. And this is coming from a guy who can enjoy Drone... very much missing the wow factor as Andy stated above. I did mostly enjoy the songs Wild Fire and Go As Free Companions at least.
