After six long years since T.C.B.T., Black Tusk roared back into the spotlight with The Way Forward, an album that feels as much like a reinvention as a continuation, at least to my ears. With a new guitarist in the line-up, and Chris "Scary" Adams and Derrick Lynch stepping up not only as contributors but also as vocalists, this release marks an exciting new chapter for the Savannah-based sludge lords. Good ol' Georgia Sludge right there. Been missing those guys as they rarely disappoint and this one is no exception. As a matter of fact, their best in a while IMO! Gonna be headbanging a lot to this in the coming days and I hope they'll tour in Canada soon.

Great album. This sits easily next to Taste the Sin. I never found a spark in Since the Dial, Pillars was disappointing and this came up with elements that once it was benchmarked in Taste The Sin. Got "Harness (The Alchemist)" Dance On Your Grave and Against The Undertow saved in my playlist.
