Metal Addiction
A great neo-folk album applauded by many as one of the greatest debut albums. There are some musical similarities between this album and Ulver’s Kveldssanger released in 1996. I think this one is the evolved version of Kveldssanger because the depth of musical expression is deeper. A feeling of solitude is well presented and articulated in a very soothing way. This album is kind of healing music to me.

8.5/10 leaning towards an 8 for me.

The acoustic guitar chord arpeggio that repeats throughout 'Huomen (Morrow)' starting at 1:26 reminds me a lot of the acoustic section in Opeth's 'Advent' at 6:15:
