I thought so - I have been there many times.

It is one of my favourites places.

I like Ortodox church picture and also monastary, Egaian sunset are great too
I love Hellas so much, ortodox christianity, weather, sun, wine, ouoz, sovaki and Nr 7

amazing photo. At first it looked like a drawing. did you use any photoshop because the contrasts are very nice. well done

Thanks I used a technique called HDR (http://www.vanilladays.com/hdr-guide/) and a program called Photomatix. It involves taking 3 pictures of the same subject, but at different exposures and layering them on top of each other, and then tweaking the tone map to produce colors and contrast that would be impossible to derive from just 1 photograph.

Some people view it as a gimmick, and those are usually the people who disagree with photo manipulation. I personally think it has it's place, but it can easily be overdone and should be used in moderation

Some pics are nice indeed, but some of these places could make nice panoramas instead of just one pic, imo.

@Leonidas: I've seen the Aegean Sea before, over the summer. Beautiful pic.

I don't know how to make a panorama, like I said, i am by no means a photographer, I just point and click at different sights when I'm on vacation. Most of these places are close to home and easily accessible, I could revise some of my photos, if anybody has some photographer tips.

Well you must take the pics so they cover each other about 20-30%, trying to let your cam on the same point (which should be under the lens I think). You can use a tripod also, Tutorial.

I use hugin to put the pics together in a panorama.
