Pretty self explanatory. A general forum for everything non-metal that you dug in 2012, be it EBM, punk, noise, jazz, hip-hop et cetera. Youtube clips definitely a good idea when possible, if not a brief description at the very least. Haven't concentrated much on non-metal stuff this year but some interesting stuff that has come my way:

Cool thread. Unfortunately I don't have any 2012 recommendations. I have barely heard any albums from 2012, metal and non metal.
Good place to find some gems I'm sure.
Another good place is bandcamp. You can faff all day on there and in the end you'll probably have atleast 2 solid releases. I think I'm going to do that.

MS seems to have an inbuilt auto-correct

Well, you get auto-corrected when you type "colour" instead of "color", so I just supposed "oh, this is one of those British/American variations where the inflexional suffix differs, like dreamed/dreamt" which is, of course, a mistake of catastrophic proportions, because it wasn't so much about the shape of "-ed", as it was about the presence of it

But there comes the other inbuilt auto-correction: Joe.

I was going to write that my posts were much off topic and that there were many of them in the same time, which lead to your usual much/many switch

Can anyone recommend me some noise similar to government alpha and skullflower?
preferably something rather fast with not too many repetitions

If you mean general recommendations then the likes of: Masonna, Merzbow, Incapacitants, Hijokaidan, The Gerogerigegege, K.K. Null, The Bastard Noise, Birchville Cat motel, Hototogisu, Axolotl and also stuff by Whitehouse, Sutcliffe Jugend etc etc. There's tons of noise out there.

For this year check out the 2012 albums by Prurient, Merzbow/Marhaug split, T.O.M.B., maybe the new Aaron Dilloway, Gauchiste and Daniel Menche.

That's odd, most of what I've heard of Government Alpha is pretty similar to Merzbow. Try the others any way, they're all quite different in their own ways.

Yes, yes back to the music
This sounds pretty good to me, labelled as 'World music' for those who like that sort of thing, I particularly like the album cover:

well, i haven"t heard remotely close to enough by either to judge their complete works, but the government alpha i heard was faster, more distorted, more screeching, not so obviously electronic, simply more intense compared to the merzbow i heard

Well most recent Merzbow sounds like this =P (though this is probably his harshest album to date)
