The first new Stratovarius album in 7 years. The first new Blind Guardian album (excluding the Twilight Orchestra record) in 7 years. Now, the first new Dragonland record in 11 years: I can only assume that power metal fans are ecstatic over the release calendar in 2022.

Really hoping the album turns out better than the underwhelming singles

me too, they are only playing metal and left out the power parts, fingers crossed that the full album gets to be wicked

Unfortunately, I don't find this one to be that special. 7, no more. It's got good moments, some good songs, but overall it sounds bland and generic. Nothing very memorable, which imuo is not strange for Dragonland.
Also it's too bad Tommy didn't get to contribute vocals, he's got one of the best voices out there.

Very good stuff, they haven't lost their touch over the years. I'm not gonna rate it just yet, but at the moment the only flaw I can find is the cover art.

"Astronomy" was band's swan song. Olof Mörck has found Elize and Jake E there and come up with an idea of Avalanche. Now it's just nostalgic echoes of the past.

I enjoyed this one, this is guilty pleasure territory for me
A return to form IMO, surprisingly good album.
