I'm not sure what Suomi Metal is, but I think of HIM when I hear the term. These guys are not like that. It's more a kind of melodic metal thing. Not entirely unlike Ghost Ship Octavius.

Early HIM is a good reference, also early Charon and the debut album by Denigrate.
