Lets talk of "whats your favorite album?" and, why you like them so much youve entered this topic, and stuff, you know what we did allready
My favourite album is "Character", i don't know why, maybe becouse i havent really listened much to others, but when i heard "Character" i was blunted
And one interesting fact i found here on MS that Niklas Sundin from Dark Tranquillity wrote the In Flames "Whoracle" lyrics.

most of them prefer DT's older albums but to me, Haven's the best

Dark Tranquillity is one of my favorite bands ... I have all their albums... They can really rock ... I had the change to check them out live down here in Costa Rica and it was an incredible gig... it was with their Character world tour ... Great Show! Anyway Dark Tranquillity Rocks!

My favorite album would have to be the gallery, the song 'punish my heaven' has a really good intro.

IMO is this band better than In Flames, at least Stanne is a better vocalist than Fridén. But I love both bands

As much ias i have listened to DT, my favy is still remains 'Damage Done'. And yeah, now DT is defenetly better than In Flames. PS there is no In FLames anymore, only Old FLames and New FLames Lol. When i started this topic i was absessed with 'Character'  so don't mind me.

Damage Done was my first real DT album, though i kinda heard projector first, but listening to DD then charcter (amazing album) made me appriciate projector later. i still consider Damage Done as my favorite!!

I've nothing against some clean vocals in Dark Tranqullity songs, hope the new album will be even better than their masterpiece Character! I think it at least has some great potential!

I thought the clean vocals on Projector were excellent. M. Stanne proved just how versatile and how great of a singer he really is. If they decided to use them again on the new album them I am really looking forward to it.

After (finally!) getting a copy of 'The Gallery' for Christmas, it's struck me how poetic the lyrics in it are. Particuarly 'Punish My Heaven'. My two favourite lines are 'For we are the outstretched fingers that seize and hold the wind' And 'If I had wings, would I be forgiving? If I had horns would there be flames to shy my smile?' It's incredibly poetic, and just seems to flow naturally in the song. *Puts second line in signature*

Well, I'm sure while saying my favourite DT album is Character. Not only for its sound, but also for the lyrics. There's a sort of psychological phylosophy floating in each song, and this is the reason why I love it. The songs I love the most are Am I 1?, My Negation and Lost To Apathy. Am I 1? mostly because of the lyric. I love it especially when it says: '..there's a part of me that cannot deal with the character I'm forced to be..'.

I use to like this band when I was younger, I am not much in melodic death anymore but they are still one of my favorites, especially first four albums and Exposures... album, I like their meaning of music and their attitude, now melodic death is shit. There re no bands like Dark tranquillity anymore...

Some reviews have popped up on M-A, and people are saying how good the new album is on YouTube and similar sites... A LEAK! A LEAK, I SAY! Has anybody heard any more of the album yet? Please share your thoughts with us if you have (a link would also be nice )

well you can find it on torrent sites i don't know really i've heard it a couple of times now and to be honest it didn't blew me away. maybe i was expecting so much. it all sounds fresh and you can hear little things from their past albums here and there, also two tracks which has clean vocals with female vocals on the later (not popy but not classical, kinda like elctro goth?!)
