Stockholm during the summer is the most beautiful city in the world (even Reader's Digest put it at #1 on the list of the most beautiful cities in the world) but it is almost as beautiful during a real winter.

My cousin has told me that Swedes are among the most civilized and hard-working peoples he has known, plus he promised me to go to a Swedish metal bar! Well, at last I'm there. It has been (and is still) raining all day here in Stockholm, but that hasn't stopped my cousin from showing me the main attractions of the city: Gamla Stan, the Opera, the Nordiska Museum, the area around T-Centralen and a couple of kyrkor. I don't speak Swedish but I have taken some Norwegian classes before, so I don't completely freak out whenever I read anything on the streets . Besides, Holmers understand and speak English very well in general. Later, we have been going shopping in Kista Galleria which is located exactly below my cousin's residence.

For some reason I'm on my own this afternoon and tomorrow morning. What else do you recommend me to see in Stockholm, fellow Metalstormers?

Take a ship and go to Djurgarden no not good idea by winter, but Vaasa musemum are hreat man

Why should i travel to a city where a guide will show me tourist routes, shops and bars? Do i need them? Actually no.
I want to see how ordinary people live. I had such opportunity and i'm glad that i didn't travel with tourist groups.
