An absolutely amazing Tech-Death album that definitely needs more attention! Again on the more melodic side of the spectrum, this is a must-listen for fans of the genre.

That is weird as fuck, not gonna lie. Not the part where you don't listen to Tech-Death ofc, that's fine, but the part where a band name stops you from checking it out. I mean, if they were called something that supports facism or whatever, I could understand... But whatever, you do you.

But you gotta be missing on a lot of good music.

It's a mindset that I can partially understand, even if I don't get on board with it myself. If it's a band that I have no other context for, good or bad, and I find a name offputting, I probably won't take the step to check it out, partially because a terrible name can sometimes indicate a band that's not taking their music seriously. However, if I see that said band is recommended somewhere and sounds interesting, I'll give them a listen even if the name is otherwise unappealing - there's a few bands/albums/songs that I really like that I'm hesitant to recommend out loud lol, but the dumb name won't affect my enjoyment

I don't think I'm missing anything. I can't think of any band with awful or ridiculous names that I enjoy. And my tastes are quite diverse.

Good examples. So many other bands that I like come to mind... Cephalic Carnage, Dying Fetus, Cattle Decapitation, Gorguts, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Fuck The Facts, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, etc... I mean... There's a lot of Grindcore and Tech-Death huh..

For a death metal band, I guess it's a good name.

I think a lot of bands have dumb names but I don't really have a problem with it personally. You could go through the top bands list here and many could be argued as terrible.

Musicwise, this sounds a lot like Necrophagist, you will find the same kind of riffs and solos

Tech death is a hit and miss genre for me but this album I'm quite impressed with, it doesn't blow my mind as such but it hits the right notes for the majority. "Roar, Allay And Alter" is certainly pleasing on my ears.
