So corrupt, I suggest to stop attacking everyone in the shoutbox that doesn't share your beliefs and political opinion. That doesn't make us evil nor the devil himself.
So, here we are, with this crazy band. I infact love all of the two albums I own of this band (White 2 and Black 1). Black 1 almost feels to me to be a black drone album, but also white 2 is just epic, and HEAVY! Discuss!
Yet another band that I've stayed away from due to genre prejudice but wish that I hadn't. Finally got around to giving them an earnest listen. I started with Black One just the other night. What can I say I'm extremely easy to market to and will willingly waltz into anything that looks to bludgeon me with some evil sounding riffage. This LP did not disappoint in the least. Wow. I actually felt somewhat physically drained after listening to the whole thing in one sitting. Which is a good thing from where I'm sitting. That and Atilla is hands down one of my top 5 favorite metal vocalists of all time so yeah, I guess I was primed to love this band since they collaborate with him often. I'm in Japan right now and will be for the foreseeable future so here's hoping they make it out here sooner rather than later so I can be decimated into nothingness at one of their live gigs.

But not in this album The bm vocalists on this album are Malefic (from Xasthur) and Wrest (From Leviathan and Lurker Of Chalice). I think MS is wrong in the description. There's a lot more to chew than Sunn O))). I really like them but I do think there are supeior drone albums. Definitely a great start though and as I already told you before. Get both White albums now.

Should have worded that differently. What I meant was the fact that they collaborate with him was what clued me into the fact that I would be into their work entire. I'm no Sunn O))) expert but I like to read up on bands when I start listening to them and I caught that tidbit in the whirlwind of info Google spat up at me. I will check out the White albums and look into Boris next. Funny how you can listen to a certain flavor of metal, be completely turned off by it then after time passes give it a second chance and be enthralled.
Doe's anybody know if Sunn O))) is recording a new album or any news about them? Because as i'm now listening to M&D im interested to see where they go from there and if its any time soon.

Can anybody tell me what Sunn O))) are like live? I might go see them next month, but I'm wondering if it will be a snoozefest or if it will be interesting.
GO ! True that their music ain't for everyone, but live they are something to witness at least once in life. At hellfest, I loved it as most of people in the tent (quite a few people were in a sort of trance/demonic possession ), some other people around me didn't really get it... but I'm sure that everyone agreed that the show didn't leave you indifferent.
As for the show itself, I think everyone feels it in a different sort of way...

Like promo said in his Hellfest article: It can't be measured in "bad" or "good" terms. It's just different... and Very unique. Pretty sure that if people enjoy drone in cds they should be able to do it live.
Man... Getting some good memories of Roadburn 2011, that was insane and hella hypnotic.

Creepier than most horror movies On ScyFy, better film score too:
I wouldn't mind seeing these guys live. Just started listening to them with Black One. It Took The Night To Believe has one of the most EVIL sounding riffs I've ever heard.
