Back in 1992 when Baphomet released its first album, "The Dead Shall Inherit", the band was probably one of the only American Death Metal bands that didn't come from Florida. Wait... I just looked at their past album titles... why would they do that? Did they have some sort of obsession with the dead and inheritances?

Pretty good, but in a world full of million exactly similar death metal albums this doesn't really stick out at all. For me the lo-fi production style is the highlight in itself, it seems these older Peaceville releases tend to have this certain unmistakable sound I really enjoy.
