Hails! I run a black metal project called Mystic Rites. It's inspired mainly by old norwegian black metal bands like Emperor, Darkthrone, Satyricon, Burzum and Bathory (although, that ain't norwegian;)). I've just finished making my first record. The EP contains of four tracks and is approx. 22 mins long. You can download it here: http://my.rapidshare.com/Nebiros/8000 fb link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mystic-Rites/317040525076330?ref=hl here's links to the old versions of my two songs. They're different on the record: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POBkZ6JKPD0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZQvRkiCw-Y Any opinions?

Right, got the new versions of the songs uploaded. This is exactly the material, of which the "Invoking the Lost Spirits" EP is made of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xEW1Hprav8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCZ_A5XIqRQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ks2vRnr-YyI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6czHr_OvM4g DOWNLOAD IT HERE: http://my.rapidshare.com/Nebiros/8000

You should make a bandcamp page, I'd rather listen to something by streaming it.

Alright man, I'll bear that in mind and I'll make one when I just have enough time. That'd be sometime this week...I suppose. I just need some opinions on the music itself. For the moment, you'll have to bear listening to it on YT.

Not bad. I'm not a fan of the vocals or the guitar tone. It could also use some faster "Blast" sections. IT had a ncie atmosphere though. Good music. 6.5-7/10, would like to hear more. (as a 15 year old, I'm even more impressed, the stuff I wrote then was abysmal. Kudos)

Okay, so I had a few months off from recording. Now , once again I've put some tracks togather - not quite enough for an LP, so I will be recording another EP instead. If eveything goes as planned, it should be out in spring 2014. Here's the YT link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1nbSb5bDVA here's the BandCamp link: https://mysticrites.bandcamp.com There a big shift in terms of influences with this new track (and the ones that will follow) - a lot a mid-era Emperor, Mmid-era Enslaved and quite a lot of Marduk-ish riffs from albums like Nightwing, Heaven Shall Burn and La Grande. I kind of tried to bring in something more than just the same old, primitive Black Metal vibe. I tried to maintain the old feel, but also bring some more experimental stuff in there. Whever I achieved my goal, is for you guys to decide ![]() Listen and please respond. Hails

Good stuff, your vocals are impressive, and I enjoy the atmosphere. As a fellow 16-year-old black metal musician, I'll just tell you to keep it up. Black metal music is dying, not that it ever actually reached the mainstream world anyway, but I really enjoy what you're doing here. I have to say that I really enjoy the artwork to the Invoking the Lost Spirits EP, did you take that picture yourself or did you get it somewhere? Also, if you would like, I have my first EP up for free download here: http://deafeneddsbm.bandcamp.com and if you enjoy it, it'd help if you "liked" the facebook page for information on future releases (coming in the next couple of months): https://www.facebook.com/pages/Deafened/560884687337126 Again, keep it up, and I'll look for any future releases from you.
