Apart from being kicked out of the Grammy Awards, Mastodon vocalist/guitaris Brent Hinds is involved in another supergroup with Tool drummer Danny Carey and Off! and Burning Brides guitarist Dimitri Coats. The band is called Legend Of The Seagullmen. As of now, you can have a taste of the music they produced by downloading two new songs, "The Deep-Sea Diver" and "Ships Wreck," on their website.

According to Rolling Stone, the project is the brainchild of brothers Frank, Chris and David Dreyer, who have put on theatrical concerts and made movies about the band in recent years. Hinds is a friend of David and got involved several years back. Film director Jimmy Hayward (Jonah Hex, Horton Hears a Who!) is producing the music.

At this point, it is unclear whether this is a full-on project or something else and the group did not elaborate on what else is in the works.
