So on the top albums section it doesn't let you fill in to criteria at the same time.
For example, if you can't search the best black metal albums in one given year. It will update the search immediately after putting one filter in, not even giving you the chance to fill in a second one. And if you try to add another filter it will delete the one before

This is unfortunately a known issue with the search function that requires some coding to address, but the time frame for these kind of things is long-term TBD.

Go here. Then filter by type, style, year of release, number of votes, etc. If you click on the rating column of the results, you'll get the top albums of your search. It is true that unfortunately this cannot be done for the top albums page and, as Troy already said, this is a coding issue.
