This is really badass

Many words are needed to describe this. It's folky, epic, black, psychedelic, proggy, atmospheric, adventurous... Bathory, Hendrix, Agalloch, Black Sabbath, Cream, Celtic Frost, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Celtic and Irish folk... it's all here on this album.

What the heck? Brob has a bandcamp page? Since when? I always wanted to find stuff by this band but they were too obscure to have anything online. And it seems they have a 22 release too.

Check only if you can handle the noise.

Some psychedelic stoner metal with some doom touches here and there. Powerful, captivating and a perfect production for the genre.

Might even like this one more than their previous record, which was already one of my favourite records of 2019.



Nice traditional heavy metal from Peru. Found some very good riffs on this record and great vocals.


Melodic black metal from The Netherlands. Awesome record with lots of power and variety.

Macondø is an instrumental Post-Metal / Post-Rock band from China.

Awesome raw black metal demo from Indonesia with a really intriguing crop circle theme.
They also released this great split with fellow Indonesian raw bm band Obscure Skuadron, who are UFO themed. A match made in heaven.

Sounds quite a bit like Black Country, New Road. With the monocle-adjusting solemnity of A Forest of Stars. Nice stuff anyhow!

Two other crazy Matt Stephens projects released in the span of a week, the man never stops. I'm especially fond of Gorenette Coleman because it has a damn Clarinette, but both releases are really good.

This album is not really great, but holy fuck this random ass raw black metal cover of Megalovania caught me off guard

This whole reverbered mess always gets me. There's something just too entrancing to it...

Instrumental progressive metal mixed with some post-metal from Spain. Might be my favourite album so far this year. Coincidentally, just like the previous record, it's also a debut album.

The best sleeper album of 2022

In case anyone wants some more brain-melting free-jazz brutal death metal, there's another new Effluence EP and it's even better than the last one.

Blindead 23 is a new project formed by Mateusz Śmierzchalski aka Havoc (Blindead, ex-Behemoth), Patryk Zwoliński (ex-Blindead, ex-Antigama), Roger Öjersson (Tiamat, Katatonia), Maciej Janas (Ketha), Vinicius Nunes and Paweł Jaroszewicz (Antigama, Obscure Sphinx, Batushka). Here is the band's first single, for the fans of Katatonia.

I knew Salqiu had new releases but only now I'm stopping to give a listen.
This one in particular is very interesting. Arabian folk influenced black:
