Oxbow have always written love songs. But, due to people’s misconceptions about their dark, brooding, sometimes violent style, they decided to be more direct this time.

Musically interesting and very quirky album which makes sense for Oxbow. Definitely more on the avantgarde/alt side of the spectrum. Nothing really blows my mind though.

I didn't expect to like this much but it's a cool album, dark, soft and and at times trippy, I'm impressed. The Instrumentation is flippin marvelous, some parts even remind me of The Doors, and the vocals are weird as hell, but in a kinda cool way though, because he reminds me of the legendary Captain Beefheart

"1000 Hours" is the main highlight for me.
