Screechy Evil Felonious Blitzing Metal

The concept of this list is not exceptionally well defined, but I'm circling a basic sound of lean, fast-paced metal with high-pitched vocals that tend to be on the harsher side. The album that inspired the compilation was Evil Invaders' Shattering Reflection, so that can serve as a template; not everything here necessarily sounds exactly like that, but it's all somewhere in the blackened speed/power-thrash/particularly aggressive heavy metal continuum. I'm going entirely by what feels right to me and not necessarily what makes sense on paper, so don't hold this to a rigid standard of consistency.

Here are a few individual tracks that I also thought fit the mood nicely:

Accept - "Fast As A Shark"
Accept - "Fight It Back"
3 Inches Of Blood - "Leather Lord"
Judas Priest - "Ram It Down"
Judas Priest - "Hard As Iron"
Satan - "Trial By Fire"
Crisix - "Ultra Thrash"
Fifth Angel - "In The Fallout"

Here I was thinking you're gonna do a list of metal albums where members were convicted.

Good suggestion. I think I actually had that somewhere on my draft list and it went missing. But I think that's worth including.

I am not sure though if the vocals are sufficiently high pitched for the standards of this list; that is for you to judge.

I dig this list. How about some Deathhammer or Midnight?

I considered Midnight, but I've never been that fond of them. Deathhammer would be one to try, though; I haven't listened to them since Chained To Hell came out, so I'll check them out.

I would say that they're sufficiently screechy and blitzing. Good idea.

Cool.
I think I'll make this into a playlist because this list includes everything I can think of when I am in the mood for this type of music. And then I get to listen to the ones I don't know.

I considered Midnight, but I've never been that fond of them.

That's a pity. I fucking love Midnight.

In that case, maybe Nuke or Speedwolf would be more your fancy. Or Athenar's Motorhead-based side project Whitespade?

Would Vektor's Black Future qualify? Mr Space Eagle is pretty screechy. And his riffs are pretty darn fast

I'm not familiar with any of those three, but I will check them out. Thanks for the suggestions.

You very well could. I liked Electric Elite, so I'll check out Burn The Night, too.

Quite possibly. It's been a while since I listened to Vektor, but that could work. You've reminded me that I wanted to revisit Black Fast for consideration as well.

I opted not to initially because they don't seem "screechy" enough; they are adjacent to the punky/blackened thrash end of this list, though. I've never listened to that album, so perhaps I'll reconsider.

Definitely similar in spirit, but neither of them really fits the speed profile. Evil for sure, but not quite far enough into power/thrash to fully fit what I'm looking for.

I will nominate all the albums of Eternity's End.

I liked Embers of War when it came out. I haven't listened to them since (or the first two albums) so I'll revisit them for an evaluation.
