Don't know why I'm only listening to this now, because as expected, I enjoyed it significantly more than any Behemoth album. More than anything else it's reminiscent of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Nowhere near the quality of the masterpieces that are Nick's best albums, but that's an impossible mark to reach anyway. Put aside your distaste for Nergal's usual nonsense and listen to this. It's excellent.
