Seriously, though, it's understandable, I think. There are so many releases out there that it's hard to get an overview. I myself have still 30-something albums I wanted to check out this year but haven't gotten around to... time is running out hehe.
Plus, only 2 of the albums here are in the Metal Storm's top 20 of 2024 (Kanonenfieber and Labyrinthus Stellarum), so I'm sure many people haven't checked out the other 8 albums. But that's what this list is for, after all; sharing recommendations!

I have, I actually bookmarked Eye Eater, Kvadrat, and Darkened when you reviewed them! Death metal releases are usually some of the last I get to though, and I also have a ton I have yet to make to make time for.

Oh, thanks, that's cool to hear! Death metal and sludge were very good this year, I find. Just like last year had some banger thrash and black metal releases (although black metal was certainly strong this year too)
